I'm in centre parcs, I have a lot of stuff booked and the Internet is bad. I won't be on too often

i finally come back after so long and im simply disappointed with what i returned to. i came back to a worse case of what happened when i returned last time. i come back and every time i see a topic i could enjoy myself in, our edgelord of the lgbt community comes in and gets triggered, derailing it. every. single. time. while i get trying to ignore her, in the end it does nothing and changes nothing. in my personal opinion, while the arguments are repetitive, theyre NECESSARY at this point to hopefully make windumup realize SOONER that the forum is slowly imploding because of this. and i know that if i join in on this, im gonna get extra offensivev or whatever or simply be ignored since what do i know. but yeah im tired of all of this at this point in time so thats why ive been leaving so much and i may very well be doing again. so thats whats goin on for those of yall that get bored enough to acknowledge my existence. carry on :)

I'm not under some delusion, I did attempt several times to help solve the issue when it started, give suggestions, but all that **** was months ago and now I'm all out of ****s. If they're causing drama whenever they walk and the mods do nothing, well I can only report and move on, as it has happened with SEVERAL users and not just this section. You guys deal with someone attention-seeking, Skylanders section had to deal with the lord of elitist jerks for several months straight until he left on his own because people stopped stroking his ego.
And that's exactly the principle, if there's no attention to be had, they won't waste time with attention-seeking. Only winning move is not to play.

People who don't make your lives any better are everywhere in the internet, as in real life. Pretending that we can just get rid of them once it's annoying enough is stupid, and while Windumup really gets me upset every now and then, she still hasn't broken any rules to somehow lose the right to be in here. Same with GM78 when he was still raising hell.

At this point I've gotten so very tired of Windumup drama and getting notifications from the mod group about it. "Windumup is at it again." (even if the incident is not her fault and rather the fault of others).

This conversation is at least partly moot since at the time of writing Windumup is currently taking a break from the site, or at the very least S&N (I know she's online right now but I haevn't seen any traces of posts from her on here today). She's clearly having a lot of trouble in her life right now and this site isn't healthy for her, and vice versa. It's clearly causing more stress than it's worth on her due to the negative reputation she has, and that reputation gets further hammered in by the mistakes she makes as a result.

Hopefully when she returns full time she can start over with a clean slate and not react as badly to people who disagree with her. And hopefully others can also get past what she did in the past and give her another go (again this is after she's taken a break and had a chance to breathe and deal with her personal life).

If things still continue after she returns, I'll simply start handing out suspensions to whoever is causing the problem, whether it be Windumup or someone blowing something she said out of proportion, or both. It's just that simple at this point.

If you want to get technical, troll baiting, pity parties, and flame attempts are attention-seeking that can be disruptive to the forum. Bimle got banned because he kept trolling people and baiting with his controversially far-right winged opinions; something he did to get attention and get people mad at him.

Windumup's overreactions to things, such as this latest case, sets up arguments and drama where there otherwise may not be, and that does count as attention seeking. Windumup's topic a week ago where she vaguely hinted at life problems while trying to get others to stop harassing her was an attempt to earn pity without explaining why things are rough to begin with, which started drama, in which both are attempts at attention seeking. If Windumup keeps putting herself into the center of drama in things like this, eventually something has to, and will, be done (I've constantly refrained from pulling the trigger since it's often others overreacting to her, but my patience is wearing thin).

Does Windumup's antics warrant a permanent ban? Absolutely not. She isn't being malicious most of the time like Bimle or zer0 were. But they can lead to mass scale drama like this and disrupt the entire forum and, in cases that have happened more than once now, start entire trends in attempt to mock her for it (which if you guys can quit that I'd be thankful).

Bimble got banned for posting links to porn, on top of the other things. From the looks of it he'd have continued if he didn't do rule breaking on purpose.

He did rule breaking on purpose to troll and gain attention. And barring that porn link that was posted and deleted in probably the most inactive time slot on dS, he usually got that attention. Of course he was gonna keep pressing buttons.

The recent "drama" of Windumup and an MM was the reason why I left. I suppose that MM was telling me to shut up? Not only did I shut up, I left as well. If I would have known that replying to her thread would in fact get me an MM I would have never said "k", I would have said a lot more. It's not the first time she made me leave and to be honest with you, she needs to leave and get her personal problems resolved. I feel as though maybe that MM I got was a sure warning that I will eventually get gnorc'd by a mod just for the simple fact that as a member of this forum I'm really getting tired of Windumup whining and taking hissy fits all the damn time.

The MM wasn't saying "shut up and go away". It was saying "please don't be so apathetic and disrespectful here".

If that's being disrespectful then so be it, however it was not said in a sarcastic way. If you would have asked me to delete my comment, I would have respected you as a mod and I would have deleted it.

Oh my goodness she has been gone for 3 days and people are still fighting about her? She did a very mature thing and took a break, and like CAV said, we should start over again when she gets back. She made some mistakes, I made some mistakes, and so did some other users. But that's in the past now, can we please drop it? I know I'm being a hypocrite by talking about it as well, but the last half-page has been off-topic garbage about a user that hasn't even said a word in 3 days. Let's forgive and forget, okay? I'm sure Windumup will forgive us as well and hopefully we will put this all behind us by the time she returns.
