Oh screw that schedule! Sonic Mania is cool and I can't wait to see the new surprise, but it aint worth the sleepiness in the morning.

Also, it seems like people already have photos of the Sonic Level Pack from Lego Dimensions. I'm on my 3DS so I can't really put it here, but it's easy to find. Just go on Bricks to Life.com!

Most looking forward to seeing the Dimensions pack. Hopefully we'll know about it tomorrow.

There's a trailer. And Super Sonic is a transformation.

I hope it's not Generations 2. It doesn't look like. Just look like a game that uses the Generations' gameplay.

But man I'm so hyped.

it's probably not Gens 2 but uses the same gameplay, like Crash10 said. there's not enough content to make another Generations game. it'll probably be like Generations with original levels

Little detail for those who didn't saw the stream: They recorded the crowd screaming "Sega". They will put the recording in Sonic Mania as a Easter Egg.

They insisted the game is not a sequel so it probably isn't Generations 2, at least in the sense that it's a retread of past levels in the two forms of gameplay.

Looks like it'll be all new levels with the two Sonics. And I'm ok with that.

looks edgy, i like it but slightly disappointed. i know we barely know anything about the game but i was hoping for a few more characters to be playable or something. When the trailer said "But even heroes need help," I was expecting Tails and Knuckles or something like that. Thought we don't know anything about the game yet so heres high hopes they at least play a part in the story mode : >

That Sonic conference has officially topped Konami's E3-one from 2010.

I mean... Wow!

At least making a sequel to Sonic Generations is the smartest move Sega has ever done because it means capitalising on a foundation to build upon, maybe they should stick to making Sonic Generation games for years to come for consistently good quality. I mean look at the 3D Super Mario games.

Well, I'm gonna start getting back into Lego Dimensions due to Sonic and Adventure time, so that's somewhat good.


Also Sonic '17 looks pretty interesting.

I didn't see the stream, obviously. But it's nice to see Christian Whitehead taking point on an original 2D Sonic game that won't be constrained by being limited to smartphones with obnoxious touch screen controls. It looks like fun and I wish him and the team all the best. Although, I must wonder, is Studiopolis Zone supposed to be a friendly nod to the current dubbing studio SEGA's using or something?

Also, teaser for Sonic Generations: The Eggpire Strikes Back. Here's hoping they are going with original levels. There's also a part of me wishing they could get Jaleel White for Classic Sonic this time... hey a guy can dream, right? ^.^;

By the way: 3D Sonic the Hedgehog, 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic Triple Trouble are currently on sale in the Nintendo eShop. Not sure if it's been said or not.

They might as well have called it Generations 2.

That was admittedly kind of underwhelming but nonetheless I'm still really excited. Both games looks absolutely fantastic. Definitely going to be day 1 buys for me next year.

Well, if they used the concept of revisiting old stages, but totally destructed, I'm okay with a second Generations. The stage on the trailer looks like City Escape or Rooftop Run.

But I prefer something different. If the slogan ("Join the resistance") means something, we might get more playable characters.

I can get behind that "join the resistance" bit meaning other characters get a chance to shine. But if this game is, length-wise, similar to Generations, I don't see that happening.

Again, I'm hoping all this extra development time means a meatier game... by which I mean more zones/levels. But not if that comes at the expense of gameplay. <.<;

imo I'd much rather have 1 over 2, Even if it's just Tails, Knuckles and Amy since they make the most sense for a having a modern and classic counterpart.

im hoping they use the control style from sonic lost world... i really liked it

We don't know yet, but they did imply it would primarily 3D in the lead up to the announcement, even though you can't tell for sure from the trailer. There was a section of the trailer that seemed to imply there would be 2D movement, though.
