You guys probably knew this, but I didn't and Aura confirmed it. Now I just need to figure out how to make use of the Netflix sub without digging into my Imaginators savings.

I'm officially going to be watching Skylanders Academy all day when its released. Forget Imaginators

I KINDA want to see if it's possible to binge watch too(day one Imaginators is bust without digital, even if I get it from someone on the US it's gonna take a while), but I don't know if it'll actually be compatible with the Brazil catalog - I don't even care if no dubs(in fact don't, I know Brazilian dubbing is high quality but they use the SAME VOICES EVERY SHOW), I watch everything in english no subs nowadays. I just really want to support the show :I

Well, I'd only get the first season if that was the case. Season 2 is set to next year iirc, as Eric says in a tweet not too below it they take a lot of time to get animation and VA going.

I see. As I said before, Netflix is actually quite cheap (around R$20,00-R$25,00 on Brazil), so, after you get what you need for Imaginators, you can try to subscribe to it.

I wouldn't be a brazilian with internet if I didn't know that and a few sites for that matter, if you guys allow me stereotyping a bit. But Skylanders being the franchise it is,it needs as much official support as it can get, I guess I could spare 40 bucks to watch both seasons and hope for the best if it's compatible.

On characters, we know someone of Light/Dark, the guys we see on the pictures, Roller Brawl, can't remember any others.

Since I have Netflix, I can warn you when the series appears on my catalog, so you can subscribe on the right time.

You're welcome Bifrost. About you, Luminous, sorry, but the Brazilian and US (your country, right?) catalogs are not the same, but sites like Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes list recent and future releases on the US catalog.

On the characters subject, I want to see at least all of the Starter Packs characters of each game. We already have Spyro, Jet Vac, Stealth Elf and, technically, Golden Queen (the Doom Raiders will appear, right?) and Cynder (on Season 2).

We just need Gill Grunt, Trigger Happy, Tree Rex, Wash Buckler, Blast Zone, Snap Shot, Food Fight, Spitfire and Master King-Pen.

I'm also interested to see how they will handle all of the different types of Skylanders (Giants, Swap Force, Trap Masters, Minis, SuperChargers, Senseis), you know, how they will use then in the stories.

We'll see, I feel like they'll do like the comics and go for who has the better story to tell than who's more popular. With the lead cast and the Doom Raiders, there's plenty to tell for season 1.

Can we question something about it to Eric Rogers? Like what we have for US now.

I don't think he actually has any power over this, Netflix chooses this kinda stuff, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to try to see if he knows since he has friends from other countries.

Small and at the grand scope of things insignificant news, but Eric is done with the S2 finale's script already. But as he said,finishing the whole thing is another issue entirely.

Eric was talking with Yroc a few hours ago, apparently the footage on SS16 isn't Academy and they were just false advertising. As usual, something is planned to release soon, but he can't talk about it.

I just need a minute long clip and I'm satisfied. Something that gives us a general idea of what the animation and humor will be like.

I wonder if they'll be the Academy VAs or the normal VAs, though. Still, I am excited for this show!

Possibly, but remember, variants are not separate individuals from their normal counter parts. For example, Molten Hotdog and Reg. Hotdog are the same person.

Only way I can picture variants working is if they were like transformations for Skylanders.

Exactly! Maybe there will be a scene where the Skylanders throw a birthday party for a character and Pop Fizz is Birthday Bash Big Bubble Pop Fizz. It can work there! But, I heard this show is a lot more plot-centric so wacky shenanigans like that might not pop up all that often. Who knows?

But I can see they using Dark or Legendary Skylanders on the plot somehow. You know, like the story they created for these variants in the games.

Like how Blades, and Jawbreaker, and Deja Vu could all switch to their Legendary Forms at any time.

(But they didn't do that in the comics now did they?)

In the comic for Jawbreaker, his Legendary form was him in special armor. In Blades', it's a special form, like Super Sonic or Fire Mario.

Nope. That was more like Dark variants, according to their backstory. Legendary ones are chosen in tournaments between Skylanders and the best ones receive a Legendary statue that Portal Masters can use to activate then.
