*Footsteps could be heard, not coming from the group*

*From the staircase you could see a silhouette walking down the stairs*

???: Weaklings..... you couldn't even handle little shadows.

Adachi: Who's that?

Falco: Who are you?

*Shadow screeches at the voice*

I think we did alright. We had enough darkness users to pull through.

???: You don't remember your old friend?

*The man steps into the light and reveals himself*

???: Diego Brando?

Dark Falco: Yeah, we handled those shadows pretty well

Minato: Wait, Diego?!

Adachi: You know this joker?

You must be talking to the humans. *leans on a wall* Just talk it out, please. We have had enough fighting for a while.

Falco: I agree Golden Queen

Diego: I'm not willing to talk it out. *THE WORLD appears* You're all wanted dead.

Falco: I wish we didn't have to fight.
Mangle: *cries a little*

Diego: Now.... who to kill first...

Corrin: Get ready...

Diego: I pick... the bird.

Sans: -eyes go creepy- Mess with my friends, I'll eat your soul, Diego
Falco: -uses stealth and his daggers on Diego-

*Diego grabs Falco by the neck* What are you trying to do? *He throws him at GQ*

Adachi: Looks like this battle is unavoidable.

Sans: DIEGO, YOU MESSED WITH MY FRIENDS SO I WILL EAT YOUR SOUL!
Falco: *plans a sneak attack on Diego*

*dodges to the side* Hey, what did I do?

*Shadow screeches and gets ready to attack*

*holds back Shadow* Relax, no need to fight yet.

*Shadow perches on staff again, but looks suspiciously at Diego*

*Time suddenly stops. Diego walks over to sans, picks him up by his hood and slams him into the ground. Time resumes*

Diego: Weakling, weakling!

Dark Falco: *prays*
Sans: *sends Gaster Blasters inside Diego's body and grabs his soul*

(he doesn't have one )

Diego: You're all my targets. Die!

Adachi: Magatsu-Izanagi! *The persona clashes with THE WORLD*

Diego: Another stand user?

Minato: He's open!

*Shadow attacks with talons and a mix of fire and darkness*

*sends a swarm of scarabs at Diego*

*THE WORLD grabs Magatsu-Izanagi and uses it as a shield for Diego*

Adachi: GAH! .... be careful.... if you hit my persona it affects me...

*scarabs move around and attack from behind, Shadow flies up and attacks from above*

*THE WORLD drops the persona and starts attacking the scarabs and Shadow*

Minako: He's distracted!

*Messiah freezes Diego*

Diego: W-what?! I ..... can't move....

Adachi: Yeah... being frozen will do that to ya...

*Shadow grabs Diego and pulls on him until he falls over and crashes into the floor, then flies back to GQ and perches on her staff*

Adachi: Now to finish him. *Magatsu-Izanagi lifts it's blade* Sorry to do this buddy, but you asked for it.

Minato: Wait Adachi don't-

*The persona slices Diego in half* Oops.

Well, that is one way to go out.

*Shadow flies over and eats a piece of Diego's corpse*

Macabre... But I suppose a hungry animal has to eat when an opportunity presents itself...

*Shadow finishes and flies back to perch on the staff*

Minato: Well at least he didn't eat all of him...

*The ice melts and the upper half of the body began twitching*

*Shadow screeches at Diego*

*Shadow closes his eyes and lowers his head respectfully*

Crazy suggestion, but who thinks it would be worth a try using phoenix tears to bring him back? It's a long shot, but if we can bring him back, he should be free of being controlled.

Well, at least we have had enough skill and luck to manage so far. For now, there doesn't seem to be any way out of this room, so we can probably take a break here until another doorway or staircase or whatever else appears. *sits and rests by a wall, Shadow still perched on top of the staff*
