Why do people think this kind of attitude is okay? There is no justification in an act of terrorism.

Homophobes who say it's about protecting children usually beat up their own children and send them away to war so they would die.

Why don't you go **** someone you're biologically related to, confederate scum!

Well how else do you respond to those dismissing, mocking and exploiting these horrific tragedies because the victims are gay?

By not letting that get into you. You're the only one suffering if you let that anger take over, and it's not bringing these people back. It's not heartless to try and push away the rage, you can still BE angry, but don't let it go out of control.

Who are these people trying impress? Thinking they're SO edgy by mocking and ridiculing those who've died? Not cool.

Okay what has this turned into?

Seriously. That people are this low-hearted is one, but actually going to start a whole argument against them will only toughen up the pile of idiotism that is already resting on this world. I agree what that guy said in the image is just really stupid and dumb, but letting it get to you only makes things worse. (My opinion, of course. It's up to you if you let it get to you or not.)

Meanwhile, I saw a thing where some Texan (I think) pastor quoted some Bible verse saying "you reap what you sow," claiming that the club-goers had it coming simply because of their sexuality. :\

It's easy to lose hope in humanity when you see such negative aspects of it, and it seems to be nothing short of human nature to focus on that darker side. But as Bifrost said, it's not callous to turn away from those feelings of sorrow and anger; in fact, I'd say showing the exact opposite (especially when it doesn't come first nature to you) is a greater show of strength. Focus on the good, the light, the hope, and become a beacon of that which this world lacks.

People shouldn't lash out at homophobes. They just have a different religion and you can't force them to change.

homophobes don't have to be butthurt and shove their religion down everyone's throats
like, if you're homophobic, ok, but don't go around trying to prevent gay marriage or something and tell them they're gonna go to hell. just keep it to yourself. there's nothing wrong with disagreeing on something. just don't be so apathetic about the slaughter of 50 innocent people just because they live life different than you do.

When their intent is to obstruct the liberty of other human beings, as this man clearly wishes to do, it becomes the business of the public. We can't force them to change, true, but they certainly can't force us to change.

Homophobia has nothing to do with religion, at least not in Australia. Australia is predominantly Catholic and most of us do NOT support homophobia, or discrimination in general.

I don't know where they get these cucks in Parliament. They're probably aliens.

Oh my gooood.

I really hate it when pastors do this, it makes us look bad. There are so many times in the Bible where God tells us to not to be prejudice, and yet SOME(I say some, because it's not everyone) Christians and Catholics are extremely prejudice? What the ****?
