Unpopular Talking Animals [CLOSED]

If you could made a animated movie with talking animals using animals that aren't generally used, which ones would you use?

I would use:

  • Pigeons
  • Skunks
  • Piranhas

And you?

Skunks were main characters in Open Season, though...

Also, I'd make a movie about a Talking Barracuda who doesn't want to eat fish. He instead wants to sing the latest pop hits like "Roar" and "Boom Boom Pow"! *coughs blood*

Valiant was an all-pidgeon movie. Disgusting one though.

We don't have sentient anglerfish movies, do we? All I remember is the one from Finding Nemo that was just an animated obstacle.

Maybe anglerfishes are too creepy for family movie protagonists? Like, in Finding Nemo he's meant to be creepy, and only appears a brief time.

I always tough about a pigeon movie about two brothers who have their parents are ran over by a car, and the brother of the main character is evil, and the main character falls in love...

Okay now I'm going crazy.

Also, now that I look, very few felines besides tigers, lions and cats appear in movies. I never seen a important puma character aside from that secondary one in Zootopia. Nor a snow leopard besides Tai Lung. Maybe some new felines would give a good twist.

An animated movie about hyenas in which the hyenas are the protagonists rather than the villains.
I was bitter about this as a kid for the longest time. The Lion King made me bitter.

Also, I want to see more Wombats in movies. Wombats are unquestionably chubby, and look like they'd be fun to hug. I can imagine a fat, chubby, cutsiefied animated Wombat being sold as plush toys. I'd buy one.

I want to see some good snakes and crocodilians and lizards. And not just the harmless kind, like milk snakes and anoles. I want to see fierce vipers and crocodiles and Komodo dragons on the side of good.

There was this one TV show on Disney Junior, waaaay, waaay, waaaaaaaaaaaaaay, back when it was Playhouse Disney (and didn't have that god awful thing called Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) called The Kola Brothers. There was a talking Kangaroo, Crocodile and I think that orange guy standing directly left of the plane might be a wombat. (Sorry, thunderdragon, the guy in the truck was an Emu, according to the wiki.)

It might not be exactly what you all were looking for, but hey, it exists. *shrugs*

I loved those two shows when I was little. The only two characters in the picture whose names I can remember right off the bat are the turtle postman (George) and the alligator (Archie).

I never watched that show as a kid. Heck is it even around today? Honestly my back up choices would be Snow Leopards and Raccoon dogs.

I remember seeing guys at Disney saying that they would want to do Zootopia spin-offs with reptiles and birds. Maybe this could help you.

I remember Koala Brothers! I don't remember too much of it, but some stuff rings a bell.

Anyway, I want to see a movie about hamsters in a pet store, who, when the store is closed, walk around the place and meet all the other animals, like cats, fish and parakeets.

HMM .. personally I think they've made too many animal movies about cats and dogs. While I love them both, I think there has been enough movies centred around them. So no more movies about lions, wolves, tigers... whatever. Just no more please.
I'd love to see a movie about opossums. >.< Closest I've got to that was Over the Hedge, and I was happy with the animals in the movie.
Oh, and bats! But there's Silverwing for that too.
But I think we need more movies about animals OTHER than mammals. How many reptile based movies have you seen? Or amphibians?
AND don't just make the villains carnivores. Seriously, the motive most villains in animals movies have is that they want to eat the main character or their friends/species. Man, that's old and just plain lazy storytelling (and then you see the main character eating like a fish or insect or something). Carnivores gotta eat, it's nature dude, and don't make them "evil" for doing what they have to do to live.
