Shilise says "Saris isn't a friend. he's family and my brother." Shi looked at Rose and said "see Rose, Shadow can't do a thing to you. in fact just to be on the safe side Sozen and I should go with you. just in case."

That fact about Saris was something Cole didn't know until now, but it was understandable since Shi's family was so complicated.
"Oh, I see. Now then, let's get going. Shadow giving up may be a way of stalling. I don't like the idea of ending somebody's life, but that lizard has proven too dangerous." Cole admitted, hard for him to realize that not everyone can go through redemption.

Cole was ready to escort the group down the mountain, trusting that nothing was going to be wrong with the amount of guarding did surveillance Rose was going to have.

Back at the beach, many of the warblers were gathering, ready to take on the skies and watch every corner of the beach and ocean in case something went wrong. They tried not to look at the forest, since it was such a depressing site. Much of the green and yellow of the leaves were gone. There were few remaining healthy trees. Much of the forest was now full of leafless branches, and unfortunately, there were a few fatalities, which was expected with so many warblers around.

The warblers saw Rose and the others approaching, and got into their positions. At the water, the orcas were destroying the remaining cannons and forcing the sharks to retreat. Cairo continued to keep Sybil within his jaws, but he beached himself so that Sybil could hear whatever conversation Shadow was planning to have with Rose. Sybil would have preferred to see the conversation in person, but knew there was no point in discussing with Cairo, so she simply waited for the talk to take place. Cairo signaled Crocux to go to Rose's side, and soon, everything was under very heavy guard.

Crocux nodded "she's here Shadow. come down now"

Cole made sure everything was ready, from the sea to the sky. Sybil was hearing the conversation from her temporary prison, and wondered if Shadow was just trying to get some sympathy. She's couldn't see if the Haven was very guarded as she wanted to, but she just had to trust it was. Even with her occasional poking, Cairo wasn't going to let her go until Shadow was executed.

as soon as Shadow came down Ravage grabbed hold of him to make sure he wouldn't attack. same with Saris. Crocux looked at Shadow and said "is that all?"

Cairo was rather surprised with Rose's comment, so much that he partially opened his mouth to reveal an equally surprised Sybil. She wondered how Saris would feel for being denied his chance, but Cairo didn't. Finally, Rose was giving him permission to do what he wanted to do for the longest time. He wanted to use his own teeth, so using his tongue, he catapulted Sybil above his back, and waited for Crocux and Saris to bring Shadow to him so that he could execute him himself...

Sybil didn't know what to be the most worried about; either Saris's reaction that he wouldn't get to kill Shadow like he wanted to, or that the Komodo dragon was giving up too easily. If Shadow hasn't antagonized the Haven for so long, she would have probably felt empathy for him. She let Cairo do his work, but closed her eyes because she didn't want to look how violent her beloved big friend could be.

Cairo looked at Shadow carefully, wanting to make sure that wasn't some sort of trick. As he approached, he was thinking on the so many ways he could kill him, when he finally had the idea; he grabbed Shadow by the waist, his enormous mouth covering almost all his body, and only his head and tail showing. He made sure Shadow couldn't move his neck to deliver a bite himself, and finally having him tight within his jaws, Cairo began to crunch him very slowly. He wasn't going to end his his life just like that. He wanted Shadow to go though a slow death as punishment for all the suffering he caused to the Haven residents...

Sybil became quite terrified when she heard those cruel chewing-like sounds, especially since she was the closest to the source.
"You didn't have to take that long you know..." Sybil said, believing that what Cairo did was cruel even for someone like Shadow. He would have eaten him too if it wasn't for the fact that Komodo's were poisonous, so Cairo didn't risk it. Sybil got off his back while looking away, not wanting to see the aftermath, but as she left, Cairo gave a nasty glare to Ravage, similar to that of Shadow, clearly not trusting the wolverine. He hesitantly left to dispose the body as Rose ordered, and Sybil, after he finally left, collapsed at the spot, relieved that Shadow's threat was over at long last.

"So... it's finally over.," Sayan said with a long sigh of relief. "We are finally safe...," he said looking at Rose.

Saris was angry that he didn't get to kill shadow but looked away as he was killed. Crocux felt some empathy for Shadow since he wasn't their for as long. Ravage sat down. he was confused and didn't understand. he felt a kin ship with Shadow in a sense.

Sybil smiled after Sayan's remark, but her relief lasted only a few seconds when she took a look at the near wasteland he forest had become. She covered her face because she didn't want anyone to see her crying. Shadow's threat was over, but the damage was still done. And the drought still wasn't over. Their survival was going to be even more harder.

Meanwhile, Cairo was carrying Shadow's corpse towards the impossible current. While on his way, his pod began to bow down to him in respect, glad that Shadow wasn't going to threaten anyone else anymore. They had won the war, and Shadow's followers were retreating. Cairo dumped the mangled body towards the fast current and let nature take it's course, but he knew it wasn't over. Shadow did much harm, some that was probably going to be permanent...

Crocux smiled "well guys you heard her. we've won but that doesn't mean we're done. we still got work to do. so lets get to it."

Peepers looked around, and proceeded to answer Rose and Crocux himself.
"We need the trees to grow. There's no way to repair this ourselves..." he said with a pause, knowing that with the drought, the forest's recovery was going to take far much longer. Many of the warblers were busy preparing a proper funeral to those lives lost, but mourn them for very little time, since they knew there were too many important things to do.

Sybil looked behind her to see the orca pod was there, every single member. Cairo came in front, and talked.
"Well miss Sybil. It is done. Shadow won't be a problem anymore..." Cairo said with a pause, with him and the pod understanding their sorrow. They were so worried about the Haven residents barely having a home now, but there was nothing they could do.
"We came to say our goodbyes. It's time to head to the Antarctica once more." he then said, knowing the big problem the drought was. The pod, especially the teenagers wanted to play at least one game before their departure, but given all the grief the Haven residents had received, they didn't want to cause any trouble.

Crocux smile broadened "true but their are things we can do. first off we need to remove the debris so room for new trees to grow can be made. next would be to plant the seeds so the trees can grow. it will take time but it'll take more time if we do nothing."

The orcas didn't want to bother the Haven residents, but if Rose was willing to play, they weren't going to let that opportunity pass. Sybil wasn't exactly in the mood, but after their help, she knew the orcas deserved it. Plus it could take her mind off things for a while.
"Are you sure?" Cairo asked, not wanting to trouble anyone. He truly believed that after his gruesome display, some of them were going to fear them, so he was rather surprised with the offer.

Planting seeds meant using their food supplies, but the warblers didn't mind now. The Haven was in almost complete ruin, and they were quite depressed, but that was their home, and they meant to have it back.
"Alright now Mr. Crocux. We'll follow your lead." Peepers said, having been motivated. Cole headed home, quite tired, but promising the flock will help too. The kea's help would be useful, but they needed to rest for a bit before lending them their service.

OOC: Well, Shadow, I, AJ, didn't even get a chance to try. Your death was... chosen.

if Crocux could clap he would have "that's the spirit. now I'll need the elephant brothers help to clear out the larger debris like fallen tree trunks and such. everyone else start by grabbing any debris you can carry and get it out of here. now lets get to it!" and he headed off to help himself.

The warblers proceeded to get to work, knowing there was a lot to be done. They could see that the orcas were ready to play, and Peepers convinced them that the Haven residents deserved the distraction. Sybil and the others could help later.

Cairo took no offense to the splash, and move in to capture her, although not so fast to give her a head start, and to give Sayan a chance to decide if he was going to participate in the game, since he was his favorite target. Sybil avoided three orcas altogether, who charged at her. It felt so good to be able to have that thrill again, even if it was going to be for just a little while. Half of the orcas, particularly the older ones, didn't participated due to being either too tired or slightly injured due to their fight with the sharks, so many of them playing were the restless teenagers, who were exited to had their wish to play even after such ordeal.

OOC: I, AJ, the little maragay, am still unconscious by the tree that Shadow climbed before. Its alright that the instance with Shadow is over. I would have been interesting to see, my character, reform him though.

Meanwhile the elephant brothers have already started to clear the destroyed forest. It is a very sad sight to them, because they live in forests. However they do not show their sadness as they remain strong for the Haven.

Meanwhile in the den of Saris, Syris, rests unaware of anything that is going on. He is badly hurt and in no condition to move. He has no idea that his big brother Saris is nearby and about to discover him.

Cairo saw the Haven and the warblers working and started to feel bad about it... but then figured out that it would be better if Rose had that little game before needing to face reality. Since Sayan didn't seem to get closer, he decided to make Rose his target instead, and now came at full speed towards her with snapping jaws and a dorsal fin that was breaking the water without mercy...

The young orcas left Rose to Cairo, so Sybil was the only one left. She had avoided capture quite splendidly, until her luck ran out. She was grabbed by her left back paw by none other than Dagger himself. The little orca everyone knew has had quite a growth spurt. He has grown one third of his body length in the month they were away, though the abundance of food in the Antarctica did helped. Sybil almost didn't recognized him, and was very proud of him. His strength had also grown considerable, as she noticed when she was being forcefully dragged into the water. It was Dagger's first capture in the game, and he wasn't going to be denied the fun.

Cairo was a great hunter, and would have caught Rose by now if it wasn't for the fact that he was worried about something.
"Oh trust me. I still have it. It's just..." he paused before continuing.
"... It's just that I don't want you to be afraid of me after what I did." he finally said, realizing that he may have gone too far with Shadow's execution. He was doubting he was ever going to have the liberty of throwing and shaking the Haven residents to his heart's content after what they had witness.

"I still want to play... but with your permission of course. You know I like to be... rough. It's more fun that way." Cairo said rather innocently, wanting to have things the way they use to be.

Out in the ocean, things were very different with Sybil. Dagger was one tough customer. Since that was his first time, he wanted to make it memorable, so he was a genuine roughhouse right now. Ellen even scolded her son for going too far, but then Sybil said something she was sure she was going to regret;
"It's alright Ellen. You, him, and everyone else deserve this time of fun." she said, encouraging Dagger to go even further. Even though Ellen was worried, she let Dagger toss, turn and shake Sybil rather violently, as if she was nothing but a rug. It was definitely going to be memorable for both Dagger and Sybil, whose vision was even becoming blurry with such intense roughness.

Cairo smiled, very happy to have the chance of playing that beloved game that has become such a vital routine in he and his pod's life, even if he had to go once it was over.
"Well, alright then. If you say so..." he said in a meek voice, pretending to retreat to have a better chance of tackling... when he did a sneak attack! Even though he almost missed her again, he gained enough velocity to grab her shoulder.
"You have been warned." he said with an almost sinister smile, holding Rose very tightly, not enough to hurt her but with a strong enough grip to avoid her escape. As he dragged her, he started to shake her, demonstrating that he was willing to make the most of that day.

Cairo was now in full play mode, tossing Rose into the air, shaking her, sinking her and tackling her. Despite his worry earlier, he managed to throw all that aside and for that day, made Rose his personal toy. He had even forgotten it was Sayan his favorite target. As the minutes went by, he became more and more intense in his play, testing Rose's endurance, but of course, even with all that fun that afternoon, he was willing to stop if Rose asked him to, even though he didn't want to stop for a long while.

Sybil in the meantime, was close to ask Dagger to stop, but always desisted. She knew that was the only moment they had before the pod had to return due to the drought, so she endured all that roughness. Dagger was being so I tense, that not only her vision was blurry, her muscles were becoming numb as well, and escape was, obviously, inevitable. Despite all that brutality, Sybil made sure Ellen didn't scold Dagger, and let him play for whatever time he wanted.

Sayan, meanwhile, waited to see if any orca would test him. He would give them a hard time of course in catching him-- but wouldn't resist giving them one last fun game.

The youths in the water were very happy. They had been waiting for any of the other Haven residents to come out and play as well. They were surrounding the water in a not so different matter as if they were ready to corner a prey, and then they started to whisper one another. Suddenly, one of the older teenagers came tackling at an amazingly fast speed towards Sayan. He almost looked like a marlin with that speed. He in particular, was very notorious among the pod for being very successful in catching prey in midair, which is what he was planning to do if the leopard tried to jump out of the way...

Cairo continued to intensify the play every several minutes, knowingly that once he returns to the Antarctica, he won't have a chance to do that for possibly a very long time. Orcas did played with genuine prey, but it was very briefly since they could (obviously) attack them while trying to defend themselves, so they had to kill it as soon as they could. With the Haven residents, it was so much fun. Not only did their friends not attack them, but they could play with them over and over again for almost as long as they wanted. Cairo felt like a youngster again, and if he wasn't so impossibly big, he would have been confused by one.

From her corner, Ellen was still watching her son, and it was kinda hard to see how brutal he was being to Sybil. The civet continued to endure it for as much as she could. Dagger wasn't hurting her, but he was exhausting her severely, shaking her up to the point where she was very dizzy. There was much splashing in the water, so every time Dagger let go of Sybil, she could't see from where he was coming, and got dragged around again and again. There was no doubt about it now. Sybil was now Dagger's personal toy.

Cairo knew that Rose had her limitations despite Rose wanting him to believe otherwise, but continued to play very intensely. He was very tough, but he would go soft on Rose for a little while, and then intensify his play once more, shaking her a bit severely, trapping her in his mouth and tossing her high into the air many times and then sinking her and shaking her up like a chew toy.

Although Cairo tried to go soft on several occasions, at least he was being a bit more gentle to Rose than Dagger was to Sybil. That was probably the toughest beating Sybil had received from all the orca games. She only tolerated because it was for that day only and because it was Dagger's first try. Ellen was tired of having Sybil allow that brutality, so she stopped watching her son, leaving the poor civet to Dagger's mercy.

At the Haven, the warblers saw what a great time the orcas were having, and were a bit envious of their fun. They were starting to feel sorry for Sybil and Rose, and some of them could see that Sayan was probably going to be another victim soon. They continued working, seeing all that action motivating them even further to repair their home and have things the way they use to be.

As Rose was playfully teasing Cairo, his admiration for the tiger grew. His jaws brought death just a few moments ago, and she still treated that as the most normal thing in the world.
"You're impressive." Cairo commented, as he slurped her in and out again many times. He was having so much fun, and was very happy. In fact, he and the pod gathered at the ocean earlier just to say goodbye, just before Rose suggested that game.

After a while, Dagger noticed that his mom wasn't around anymore, and became even more brutal. Fortunately, he realized after a fee minutes that he was going too far.
"Oh, sorry miss Sybil. It's just that this is too much fun." he said, after noticing that Sybil was so exhausted, she could barely move.
"It's alright Dagger. This is really great for endurance. And like I said, you guys deserve this time-off." she said kindly, though deep inside wanting all that to stop. She could float, but she couldn't swim. Her comment eased up Dagger's conscience, and since Sybil was practically giving him permission to continue, he resumed the incredibly intense play session. The orcas had been an incredible help to Sybil ever since she met them, so she didn't have the heart to say that she was having enough.

AJ: After sometime of being out, I slowly begin to wake. Seeing no sign of Shadow, I am unsure how to feel. Had he escaped again, or was he truely gone for good. Unsure, I curl into a little ball, shaking like a leaf.
