thoughts? I'm pretty excited for this. I haven't seen the original film in a really long time so it'll be great to see it in this new updated take. And considering Disney's string of successful live action remakes lately(Cinderella, The Jungle Book), I have no doubts this will be anything less than great. Plus Emma Watson playing Belle is perfect in my book.

Cool cool.

Beauty and the Beast is my absolute favorite film, so I have high expectations. I really hope that it turns out well, but I'm scared to see what the CG enchanted castle decor will look like.

I saw The Jungle Book and thought it was excellent, so that's given me some confidence that this, perhaps, will be just as good.

Also, this teaser literally showed us nothing lol.

Oh cool! Beauty and the Beast (the original that is, none of the other films like Belle's Magical World...) is definitely one of my favorite Disney movies so I'm excited for this!
I don't know about Lumiere's voice, though. I feel like it was pretty lackluster in this teaser (but then again it IS just a teaser, but still). Just me?

but i love it all smooth

What's with Disney doing all these live action remakes of all their old films?
But this one does look really cool!
(Still hasn't seen the new Cinderella and Jungle Book though >.<)

Reminder that Beauty and the Beast has the distinction of being the first ever animated film to be nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars.

That's quite a high standard to meet.

Plus that recent Oz film was such a bore that it just soured me on the idea of seeing any other live-action Disney fairytale films. XD

Whoa, I forgot that the Oz movie even existed. Was is that bad?

It looks just as boring as the live-action Alice in Wonderland.

Don't have time to watch the trailer now. Is Gaston in it, and if so, does he look the part?

My problem with live action remakes is that the story is (usually) nothing new, so everything else has to be really good to make up for that.

It does look good though. I can't wait to see the beast!

There is no Beauty and the Beast without Gaston.

There's no way he isn't in it. Trailer is just some visual shots of the mansion and then Emma Watson at the end.

I'm not really sure how to feel? It looks good, so far. I have a few nitpicks, like the voice for Cogsworth is too deep to be Cogsworth.

I think I'll wait for more to be reveled, like CGI, Gaston and more info before choosing how I really feel.

looks like ive got some things to do...

It's hard to imagine the castle servants looking good in a live action setting. Also after Pete's Dragon I'm a little nervous about what Beast will look like. Please don't make him look weird...

However Jungle Book turned out great, so it could go any which way really.
