OOC: Woah, you guys are on a roll

With all the violent confrontation, Crocux and Saris were outnumbered, and the orcas were still too busy trying to disable the cannons. But one orca in particular tackled the shark that told them to give up. It was Cairo, who after being unable to to leave Sybil anywhere or with anyone safe, decided to help the two reptiles. If there was something he despised, was unfair battles like this one. He couldn't speak with Sybil in his mouth, but even though he couldn't use his teeth to attack, he glared at the sharks, ready to tackle them. Cairo was far bigger than the average orca, so a tackle from him could do serious harm.

The pod with the whale sharks, after much thought, decided to give the big animals a chance.
"Listen, we will bite off the wires off you. But after that, you must promise that you will drop the cannons and swim as far away from here as you can while we deal with the sharks." Ellen said, who came to Dagger's side after he almost threw a tantrum trying to deal with the whale sharks. Since they didn't have any teeth and let themselves be enslaved, they wanted the, to leave after they released them.

Saris nodded in appreciation to Cairo. Saris then bit the other shark that was biting Crocux. Crocux helped and forced the shark off. the two went up to Cairo's side.

Cairo gave a violent slap with his tail to the shark that bit Crocux to prove his point. Not for nothing orcas were the apex predator of the ocean. A slap from that almost felt like a metal bar hitting. Then in between teeth to prevent water from entering his mouth and spoke to Crocux.
"I have Sybil with me. I can't use my teeth, but I can still fight." he said to the crocodile, willing to defend them. He wanted so badly to finish off Shadow himself, but he had to trust his pod that they will be able to disable the cannons before they could do more harm.

"Are you deaf!? We are trying to protect the island, but we need all of you to drop the darn cannons! Do what mom says!" Dagger said furiously, hating how the whale shark was saying the same thing over and over again and was not listening to them to drop the cannons.
"See? Look look!" he then said, noticing the sharks retreating, meaning that they were winning and the whale sharks would be free of their enslavement.
"Please sir. Just tell the other members of your kind to let go of the cannons." Ellen said kindly, trying to calm her son.

While the pod was busy chomping and destroying the cannons, Cairo could see from below Shadow's big claws swimming away. He wanted to protect Sybil, but having her like that, lreventing him from using his teeth came to a disadvantage. However, that wasn't going to stop him. He left Crocux and Saris's side and went to chase Shadow. He couldn't use his teeth, but he had his enormous weight. He prepared to jump out of the water and throw his whole body on top of the Komodo dragon, believing that if that didn't crush him, it would drown him. Shadow living and repeating this insane war routine had gone too far. He had to be killed at all cost...

Crocux saw this and cought Shadow in his jaws. he was going to crush him but Saris yells "no brother! don't kill him! I want to make him pay for killing my little brother!" Crocux understood this and started swimming to shore with Saris fallowing.

Cairo had to back away in order to avoid throwing his body, since now both reptiles were on the way. Since they were now at the surface, he could speak without the risk of water entering his mouth and drown Sybil, though he still talked a bit muffled.
"Just what are you two idiots doing!?" he asked to Saris and Crocux, incredibly furious that they ruined his chances of killing Shadow. The Komodo dragon could be dead by now and his threat would be over already, but they just had to get in the way.
"Cairo! What is happening? What is going on!?" Sybil yelled from inside, desperate to know what was happening and trying to catch a glimpse of the outside world every time Cairo spoke. She felt so useless and helpless, it was driving her crazy.

Cairo tried to capture him, but he was too far away from him when he escaped. Now he was in ultimate rage, so much, that he slapped both Crocux and Saris across the face with his fin.
"Now look what you two have done! You miscreants let him get away! Was it so hard to get your scaly snouts away from where it didn't belong? If you would have let me kill him when I had the chance, his threat would be over by now, but no! You just had to get in the way and make things worse!" Cairo said with red eyes, incredibly furious. He was only inches away from his patience, and if it wasn't for the fact that he still had Sybil in his mouth, he probably would have attacked them to get his anger out.

Sybil was feeling his tension so badly. She didn't know what was going on, but imagined that when Cairo spoke about somebody escaping, he meant Shadow.
"Cairo, please let me out already!" Sybil said desperately, trying to uselessly open his mouth so that she could escape, but Cairo simply ignored her and tightened his lips, not willing to expose her.

ooc: whoa whoa whoa. Crocux has Shadow in a vise he cant get out of. let me have a chance to reply to the escap attempt before having Cairo get angry.

Crocux glares at Cairo. Saris then said angerly "because I want to kill Shadow myself! it's his fault that my brother is dead and I'm gonna make him pay!"

OOC: I'll let you two have an agreement. After you do, I'll delete that last post and go on with the story.

ooc: fine but Saris is going to want to kill Shadow himself and wont forgive anyone who robs him of that.

Now Cairo was getting closer to attack him than ever, but he held on his anger for Sybil's sake.
"Just who do you think you are you little beast!? Shadow has been threatening my home for far longer than you can imagine. Long before your scaly face ever arrived here." Cairo said with rage, believing he had much more right to kill Shadow than an egocentric, bumbling lizard.

Sybil almost managed to get away when Cairo spoke, but the big orca simply sucked her in again, unwilling to endanger her as those two had stupidly endangered the Haven.
"Cairo!" she yelled, now getting angry herself for not being set free.

Crocux spoke "I never said you didn't. I mearly acted quickly and didn't give him the chance to flee. I was going to kill him myself but Saris lost his brother because of shadow, his little brother. from what I've seen Shadow doesn't deserve a quick death and Saris would make sure of that." Saris was already at the tree Shadow was in attempting to climb it using his sharp claws.

Now Sybil was certain Cairo wasn't going to let her go, but she still refused to continue feeling useless. Even from in there, she could hear what those two were talking about.
"Who cares who kill him!? The only thing that matters is that his threat is over!" Sybil said furiously, knowing that their own, stupid pride could cause serious trouble.
"Well guess what Sybil? I almost killed him when these two idiots got in the way. I should have crushed them along with that Komodo dragon!" Cairo finally said, regretting having backed away. He usuall agreed with everything that Sybil said and did, but right now, he truly believed that it wasn't such a good idea to invite any animal to the Haven, since in the case of those two, they had been making things worse ever since they arrived.

Saris got a grip on the tree and started to climb up. Crocux hissed at Cairo and said "well look I'm sorry for acting!" (ooc: when I typed that post up you hadn't made the Cairo attacking Shadow post so it was like posting at the same time when really I got held up with dinner)

OOC: That's alright. I's going good so far

Cairo almost ignored Crocux, watching with fury how Saris could so easily climb that tree and get to Shadow while he was stranded at the water. Sometimes he would give almost anything to be able to walk on land and be more helpful.
"Cairo please! Calm down, just... please." Sybil begged, feeling too much of Cairo's tension, and it was making her nervous. Cairo cared more for her than his pride, so he tried his best to ease up his anger. He looked at Saris and accepted the fact tht it didn't matter who eliminated Shadow, as long as his threat was over.
"Don't trust him! He only wants to see Rose to kill her! Finish him off now!" he told Saris, knowing that Shadow was lying and that he only wanted to trick them into giving him Rose.

Crocux was surprised by this. "Cairo let Sybil out. I'll send a warbler to get Rose." Crocux went to find a warbler. Saris didn't like it but said "fine"

"Have you lost it? Nobody is safe as long as he is around!" Cairo said sternly, pointing at Shadow. Sybil once again tried to escape while he spoke, but yet again, Cairo caught her. She was now almost literally a prisoner, and Cairo was going to keep it that way until the Haven was rid of Shadow.
"You are so lucky I can't walk on land you drooling menace!" Cairo said menacingly to Shadow, with such a terrifying glare that if looks could kill, Shadow would have been slaughtered.

Crocux glared at Cairo and said "don't worry about that. he tries anything I'll snap his neck before he can so much as twich." then the last creature you would ever expect to show up arrived. Ravage walked along the beach and Crocux cut him off "what are you doing here?" Ravage replies "Ravage kill Sh-sh-sha-dow." Crocux was surprised by this then said "well you can't kill shadow but you can keep an eye on him until Saris kills him. if he tries anything stop him okay?" Ravage nodded in understanding. Crocux looked at Cairo and said "and now we have a wolverine here to make sure he doesn't pull anything. so let Sybil out now"

Shadow looked at Cairo. "You have my word. I will not harm the tiger. All I want to is reassure her."

Now Sybil was the one furious. Even from inside Cairo's mouth, she could hear the conversation.
"Now that's a joke! I gave you a chance once Shadow. You gave me your word once too, and it didn't do a thing!" Sybil yelled with all her lungs, knowing that Cairo wasn't going to open his mouth to let her speak in fear that she may try to escape again, and she was right. Even with Crocux trying to convince him, it wasn't going to work. She was so concentrated in her speech, that she didn't hear about the wolverine being there.
"We tried to trust you once!" she then added, like Cairo, believing that was all a trick. Shadow hated Rose, why would he want to reassure her?

Crocux understood that and said "Shadow you may see her but you may not go anywhere near her. you may only be within hearing distance of her. you say what you wish to say and then that's it. Sybil gave you a chance and now so am I. but I worn you, if you so much as look at anyone the wrong way and you will die with or without your last wish fulfilled got it!? and don't lie, I know when someone's lying."

"Who gave you authority around here? Shadow is one sneaky reptile. Even if he is far from miss Rose, I bet he would find a way to kill her even from a lomg distance. We are NOT going to risk her life because of some stupid dying wish! He doesn't deserve it!" Cairo yelled, getting furious again, with Sybil trying to calm him down. Se didn't know what was the best thing that could be done, by she kinda agreed with Cairo. Shadow was too dangerous, and had missed too many chances to redeem himself, and every time he said he would, he would only cause more suffering.

Crocux says "since dad the co administrator of haven is unable to do so right now I'm acting in his stead. I'll give him one last chance here. one and only one. he'll have to go through me Saris and a wolverine to get to Rose. if he tries anything he'll die long before he can succed."

"Wolverine?" Sybil exclaimed, having finally listened, but Cairo ignored her and responded Crocux.
"That cobra really thinks he has authority? And now you too? You're nothing but a bunch of greedy cold-blooded fiends. You are the newest addition to this Haven and yet you speak like you own the place! You want miss Rose to expose her life because of your stupid stubbornness. Hah! You couldn't even get ahold of that dragon! And now..." Cairo lectured furiously, when he was abruptly interrupted by Sybil.
"ENOUGH CAIRO! No more fighting! Listen. Open your mouth. I need to say something to Crocux, in the eyes. I promise ai won't escape." Sybil assured, with Cairo reclutantly doing so, but ready to close it if she broke her promise.

Sybil imagined she looked pathetic in there, but she didn't care. Finally being able to look at Crocux in the eyes, she spoke.
"Listen Crocux, I don't want to risk Rose life like that... but if you are confident you can protect her, do what you think it's right..." She began to say, glancing at Shadow, but then giving a very serious glare to Crocux.
"... but if you fail to protect her in any way... you... Saris... and yes, your entire family will be banished from the Haven forever!" Sybil warned, sounding dead serious. She had never banished anyone from that sacred sanctuary, but she was feeling forced to do it should something go wrong.

Sybil then glared at Shadow, having learned the hard way that no matter in what tight spot Shadow was, he could always have the tables turned somehow, so she learned to always try to be one step of him.
"That... and also, we will have the warblers monitor the surroundings." Sybil said, more to Crocux than to Shadow. She didn't want to risk Shadow having some sort of gun as a secret weapon somewhere hidden where he would shoot Rose from a distance.

Crocux nodded "of corse. that's a given"

Peepers, who had not moved from the edge of the forest ever since the fire started, heard the conversation, and didn't like the idea at all. He flew towards Sybil.
"Come on miss Sybil. Don't trust him." he urged, but Sybil just proceeded to give the order.
"Oh Peepers. Good you are still here. Listen, gather as many warblers as you can here. And find Mambo. Tell him to bring Rose here." she said, with Peepers obeying her despite not liking the idea.

"Remember what I said Crocux." Sybil warned, meaning that she was willing to make good of her promise should he fail. Cairo was tired of keeping his mouth open, and with Sybil knowing that he would still refuse to let her go, simply lied down, knowing that she couldn't do anything to make him change his mind. All that was left to do was wait...

Crocux nodded "don't worry. this time I shall not fail." he joined the wolverine and Saris at the tree to wait for Shadow to come down.

Sybil was now extremely worried about the wolverine being loose. He couldn't have possibly gotten out of the hole by himself, so somebody must have released him.
"It's alright miss Sybil. Remember that I'm here for you. And I'll maim anyone who threatens miss Rose." Cairo assured, knowing that she was worked, though assuming it was because of Rose's safety.

Peepers was delivering the message to all the warblers while on his way to the kea tree. There was so much depression with the wasteland that was the Haven right now that not even the fact that Shadow was finally defeated and has given up was enough to cheer them up. In fact, they were upset that Sybil had agree to listen to his death wish. Like Cairo, they believed he didn't deserve that kind of mercy. They did what was asked though, and they headed to the beach, while Peepers arrived at the kea tree. They were all exhausted from putting out the fires everywhere, even Mambo. However, after Peepers explained about the message to be delivered to Rose, Cole acted on Mambo's place, and headed to Sozen's home to find Rose...

ooc: don't worry I'll explain how Ravage got out soon. after Shadow's dead.

OOC: No, it's alright. I know it will be explained sooner or later. You didn't need to point that out

The keas were by nature very tolerable to cold, so Cole, even though he was tired, reached the mountain in almost no time at all. He then went to Sozen's cave entrance, though very worried with what he was going to announce. Shadow was still alive, and he still wanted to see Rose. He trusted though, that Sybil would have the young tiger under very heavy guard when she came to meet him.
"Miss Rose? Little miss! I need to give you a report." The bulky kea said, not liking to enter homes uninvited.

Shi had calmed down a little when the cannon fire stoped and said "you can come in Cole"

Cole entered, and proceeded to repeat what he just said.
"I need miss Rose to come. Shadow has been defeated, and even though he is going to be executed, he asked to see her." Cole explained, knowing that Rose was probably going to hate the idea like practically everyone at the Haven.

AJ: Hearing the commotion but still scared, I cautiously step out of Sybil's home and slowly head toward the source. Seeing all the destruction, brings tears to myeyes. However unknowingly coming upon Shadow's tree, upon seeing him again in the flesh, I collapse unconscious from shock, uttering a few words before I do. My voice is shaky but decipherable. Shadow...Mercy...Live with awayfrom others with me in oldtree...I will change him.

"Somebody take that margay away." Cairo said, after witnessing his fainting. The last thing anyone needed Shadow to see was that he could still inflict fear.
"Wait, AJ is here?" Sybil said concerned, hoping he didn't came to naïvely try to redeem Shadow once more.
"Not to worry Sybil. Somebody will take care of it." Cairo explained, his priority still keeping Sybil safe.
"Cairo, please let me out! I can take care of myself." Sybil insisted, feeling pathetic, but Cairo simply closed his mouth tighter and even menacingly gritted his teeth, proving his point. As fond as he was of Sybil, he didn't obey her if he felt it was her safety the one in danger.

"He is on a tree right now for what I heard. Oh, and Cairo and the pod returned. They are making the sharks retreat. Crocux and Saris are making sure Shadow doesn't escape." Cole reported, knowing it was more than excusable Rose's concern.

"Not to worry. you will talk to him at a considerable distance away. Mr. Crocux and his monitor friend are keeping an eye on him. And Mr. Cairo is at the beach, ready to act. And the little dude Peepers is calling all the warblers to keep an eye on the entire beach." Cole explained, having heard all the details from Peepers after Mambo insisted on be given all the information to make sure Rose was going to be safe.
