Hey there, this is my first topic, and I'm not really sure where it should go. But I've seen a ton of people feel down in the dumps or sad lately, so I'm gonna post a thing I wrote a few weeks ago, it's not much, but I hope it helps just a little bit.

"Hey there, are you having a good day/afternoon/night? If you are, then great, I hope the coming hours bring nothing but joy. If you're not, then I'm sorry you feel this way. It could just be for this very moment, or it could've been going on for a while now, that doesn't make it any less significant, no person should ever feel alone, heartbroken, or isolated. But, I believe in you, I know that there are people that love you and care for you and that look up to you. I know that you're here in front of a computer screen, the summation of all your triumphs and regrets, and you're still here. That's amazing, isn't it? You're here for a reason, whether it's religious or not, I just know that you'll achieve great things in your own special way. No matter what, I'll always believe in you and root for you, even if everything seems dark and dim, I want you to keep that light of hope alive. It should get better, it WILL get better, I assure you. You deserve to be happy and secure just like anyone else, nobody's more entitled to that right than anyone else. I'm sure you all are amazing people, the wool's just been pulled over your eyes and you can't see it yet, y'know? Regardless, as long as you acknowledge how special and moving it is to be "you", then you're already doing one of the coolest things ever. Keep your chin up and no matter what, you'll always be great, touch the sky with your ambitions and smile brighter than the sun. You're amazing, never forget it. "

So there comes a time in a person's life where they feel like they don't matter, like they're invisible; they're a salmon swimming upstream in a losing battle. A person builds up walls: walls of insecurity, walls of fear, walls of hatred. They don't want the world, much less people to peel away the facade and see how vulnerable they are. And I understand, I understand how scary the world can be and how cruel life is, people are going to push you down and tell you that you're worthless, you're dumb, you're not worth being around. It's all a bunch of lies. The people on this forum know how great you are, how intelligent you are, how rad you are. And once day, you'll be able to apply all of those skills into the real world and achieve what it is you want to achieve. You've already gone through and overcome so much to be where you are now, I have complete and utter faith in your abilities to tackle whatever comes your way. And if you can't, that's okay too. It's okay to ask for help, it's okay to open up and rely on people that won't hurt you. And sometimes we forget that, we grow so disillusioned with how others have treated us that we make the generalization that everyone is out to get us. I assure you that's not the case, there are gonna people you're friends with, people you love, people you want to be with. Sorrow and solace, with every tear shed, there's an opportunity for a smile. You can do this, you can be who you want to be, and you can realize that the world isn't as bleak as we make it out to be. If you need someone to talk to, just shoot me a message and remember that you are safe and loved, no matter where you go.

stop trying to be nice everything sucks.

In all seriousness, I felt like last month was more negative for people here? But maybe it it just seems that way since SaN is more fun since then. Either way it doesn't really matter if people still feel sad and once just focuses on comparing which month was worse.

I kept thinking about this topic all night and I felt like it would be a waste to post such a short response, but screw it, I think a short and underwhelming response is always better than no response: every time I actually feel like I can believe in this and re-realise it, life smacks me down harder than ever and I get too scared to enjoy things again. It happened in February, it happened in April, it happened on my birthday. I don't really believe in any special kind of fate so I'm not going to say "this can't be coincidence" or anything, I believe it's just terrible coincidence, but it doesn't make it hurt any less. If anything, that makes it hurt more.

But your topic obviously had good intentions so thanks anyway.

If you're wondering, also, I haven't read your PM sorry. I finally managed to reply to one the other day and I just can't bring myself to read anymore since then. Every time I think I should talk about my problems I just remember where that's gotten me now... I mean ugh even speaking to my psychologist it just makes me really feel worse after I have to leave her, I really needed her and lost it the last two days, but those things are another story...

Hey now, as hopeless as things seem right now, there's always a chance for them to get better, and I have no reason to be mad regarding the PM thing, take your time and work on yourself, my message can wait if it means you're closer to feeling happy.
