terrible choice of music but overall I'm hyped for this movie. It looks great.

Okay it was an alright trailer but the music literally ruined the entire thing.

Overall, this trailer looks very good. It introduces the world to people unfamiliar with the franchise while reading big things for the existing fans.

Kanye was a terrible choice for music though.

HEY THAT'S MY TITLE

I think i said this before, but I feel like if this and Warcraft end up doing terrible then there won't be hope for video game movies in the future. Assassin's Creed is in a more difficult spot though because it opens 5 days after Rogue One comes out but I hope it does well regardless of that.

Someone on reddit made a version with a better song, here. Not too interested in Ass Creed so didn't watch either but from the looks of things people liked what they saw, except the music.

CGI at 1:02. If I can notice it's blatant CGI, its not good CGI. Eh, I'm not too impressed with the trailer as theres several glaring flaws like the CGI and the Kanye music, though its OK.

Am I the only one that actually liked the choice of trailer music?

Kanye's vocals don't fit the trailer whatsoever but literally just take out those two lines of him and the rest of the song fits the trailer perfectly and gives that sense of intensity and dread.

EDIT: That said I'm really unsure on this. I really want it to be good but I just don't have the hopes.

Looks good. Agree that the music was meh, though mostly just any spot with lyrics. It seemed sort of okay otherwise.

Urgh! At least this be self-contained and don't expect sequels because the games themselves drag out the ongoing overall arc since 2007 with no end in sight. Perhaps Michael Fassbender will spend most of the time managing businesses and climbing towers. Can he at least punch a minstrel?

They also recently reminded everyone that Tom Hardy is set to play Sam Fisher when they finally get a Splinter Cell film off the ground.

My point was how the AC film(s) and games all tie together into one big storyline.

Except that's not happening if the film is a financial flop, which it will be when it comes out two weeks after Star Wars: Rogue One. Fox is sending AssCreed to die like that last Chipmunks movie.

P.S. This shared universe Ubisoft made is inconsistent and directionless. Why not divide the series in two? One half being about fantastical locations and time periods about assassination like Hitman, which was an influence in the first place, and the other half being the first civilisation having their war or whatever and play out like Zone of the Enders? Cut out the modern day setting altogether since Watch Dogs exists. Despite Ubisoft's overuse of the word, their characters are all generic and lack the weight and presence of Marvel, DC and... Star Wars, which was already doing a shared universe long before AssCreed and did it better.

People keep thinking Rogue One is going to be a massive billion dollar success even though it's a spinoff story. It'll make money but it's not going to be the behemoth Episode VII was.

True, but Rogue One has the advantage currently because Star Wars has a MUCH larger market and much more universal appeal than Assassin's Creed. Rogue One is very likely going to make more money based on it being a Star Wars movie alone, while Assassin's Creed has the challenge of appeasing to both fans of the games and to the average moviegoer.

That being said, I do think that Assassin's Creed will do decent financially since critics are eyeing this, Warcraft, and Angry Birds as potential breakout video game movies for the year and the future. That, and Ubisoft currently has some of the most and best success with turning their IPs into films(the Prince of Persia movie immediately comes to mind).

I've had ambivalent feelings about the AC franchise after AC3 was released, so I'm not particularly hyped for this movie. It's gonna be the same **** as every single game -- running, jumping, stabbing, etc.

I love the trailer just not the song Kanye west wrecks everything :/
