Yeah, we are like the Super Best Friends of Internet forums. There are so many running jokes that even the fans have trouble keeping track of it all

Every place has its running jokes. The issue is when you get TOO into your running jokes and still present them to the audience expecting people to know - Rooster Teeth's Lazer Team is an unfortunate result of it,for example, because only RT fans can get most of it.

Not to go on a tangen, but I completely agree with this sentiment. It's one of the reasons why the SBFP fandom is such a weird one to get into. Because you just keep asking yourself, "Wait, what the heck is this?" All the time
