It's way more complicated than I'm making it sound,but it's actually two shows - one japanese and one american shot in these places and with their visions.

I figured that was a nod to traditional Japanese armor, which always has a built in war-face.

Yeah, but mempo were decorated and made to look fierce. These power ranger helmets just look weird.

I dunno, it might just be me. I'm sure many fans of the series feel like they are iconic parts of the armor, and are glad that they didn't go for a full-face visor look.

They are supposed to be alien suits that conform to the persons body and stuff this time. And this is going to obviously be super different from the super sentai Japanese show.
