God the black colored shading on that work is pretty awful. :/ You can barely see a thing.

That's someone that learned black=shadow and white=lighting, 'course it looks even faker than actual plastic figures.

Either way, Spyro probably would've died of a concussion eventually. Strong cranium for horn charge is one thing, I mean the ground pound, especially in Skylanders where it's done with his forehead.

^Well ye. Although this person went straight up full solid black here. Like if you wanna shade with black that is okay, because experimenting is fun, but there's one thing that makes a huge difference. That being the opacity, if you do not lower it when using black for a shadow/shading, the work would look awful (In the work above it's clear that they didn't mess with the opacity, since it's 100% solid black shading). Same goes for the lighting, try to mess around opacity to make the lighting and shading better.

Oh yeah that's actually possible. I always wondered how Spyro is living with that charging thing going on without a helmet.
