Star Fox: Zero Thread (V2) [CLOSED]

Thought I'd make a thread for this. I'm so excited for this game, Star Fox: Assault is one of my favourite games, and this is looking to be just as great.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this, more or less, ANOTHER update of Star Fox 64? <.>

I hate to say it, but... I'm really not liking the texture of his fur. It looks rough and gaudy.

Finally... It's been so long.
I also love how the Arwing Walker officially makes an appearance in the series (it first appeared in Star Fox 2 but that game was cancelled).
Can't wait! smilie

That's cool, but I think it would be even cooler if the two unused Star Fox members in that game got to come out of limbo too. smilie

I'll probably be picking this up. Never played a StarFox game so this would probably be a nice place to start from the looks of it so far.

Does anyone know if it's going to use analog controls? From the trailer I saw during the digital event they made it seem like you have to rely entirely on the gamepad gyroscope controls.

The Gyro is for aiming the cursor, left stick is for movement, and right stick is for various maneuvers.

Most certainly you'll be able to turn off Motion Controls, and place maneuvers to the D-Pad.

I don't think so. The GamePad seems mandatory for the single-player at least.

Nope.. I used have a Wii. Years ago. I have an original DS. Two of them actually, but don't have a game if there was a game for it.

I can't help but feel like they were expecting something like this, and that Nintendo went and pushed Mario Maker as much as they did to cover for it in the event it got delayed or didn't sell very well.

I still can't believe that Mario Maker is Nintendo's big holiday seller at this point. Wooly World won't be that big a deal and Xenoblade is far too niche.

Well to be honest, its a good thing the game was delayed. The graphics look a bit outdated and the gameplay seems a tad awkward from what I saw in the E3 Digital Event. Delaying the game will give Nintendo/Platinum Games time to polish their game more to improve the quality of it and the experience for consumers. The delay isn't even that long anyway compared to some other games.

The delay isn't bad because of how long it is.

It's bad because Nintendo literally have no big holiday game for the Wii U. AC: Amiibo Festival is the closest they have, but people don't seem fond of that game as is.

I love the game, had no issues whatsoever with the supposedly bad controls. It's Skyward Sword all over again, a brilliant game that everyone who hasn't played it hates it due to motion controls.

I think I rescued it.

"Sorry about earlier. I get like that when I feel like I'm being backed into a corner. I really do hope that nobody avoids the game just because of the control scheme.

I do think people need to know that it is a remake, however, because if they go in expecting a continuation of the previous games, they'll be disappointed. This is a reboot.

I legitimately thought there was no Blue Vixen because Nintendo killed her off.

The Vulture is weird to control, but I think the trick to it is to do lots of barrel rolls." - QueenChrysalis' review.

I just was playing some of Arcade Mode, and I feel like I'm getting better and better at this game.

It gets so satisfying when you can mow down tons of enemies in seconds with manual shots.

There are plenty of people who love the controls (like me) as well, and from what I've seen, most people who have beaten the game didn't like them at first but got used to it.
