I mean let's face it, smartphones and tablets have become a casual thing, even in pop-culture, we have drones flying all over the sky carrying packages, VR gaming headsets, 3D Printers, and my local Walmart just got a new chromey and shiny renovation. Feels like I stepped into a Japanese Walmart.

Technically, when a second passes, it is in the present. If something passes, it's not the future anymore. Due to this, it is impossible for the future to ever come.

The future is always ahead of us, never in the present.

Yeah the future of the 60s or 80s has happened now with smartphones and drones, but what we think of the future (fully competent holograms, VR chambers, androids) hasn't yet. We're getting there, but not yet.
