It's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be, it's marred by an awful translation that kills the development and characterization of most of the cast. Once it (hopefully) gets re-translated, I think it'll be a pretty solid part, not the best, but better than SC or something.

Jobel pls no. But seriously, the part 4 hype train just won't stop. It's a wonderful part and to see it animated is just great. It definitely deserves second on my list of Jojo parts.

I think the color scheme that David Productions decided to go with fits Morioh perfectly. It just sorta emanates this mysterious small-town-y feeling. And that cold open though, easily the best opening scene of any of the Jojo parts yet, even if it wasn't in the manga.

Alright, so I'm eating pizza with Metallo and watching some part 3, and it's always great to see Avdol in action. But honestly?
I think he should've stayed dead
For people that don't mind getting spoiled or for people that've already read/watched Part 3, feel free to discuss.

See, as great as that moment was, I think the defining flaw of SDC was its main cast, everyone save Polnareff and Joseph remained mostly stoic throughout the entire part. The stand battles would usually end in an ora-beatdown from Jotaro with a few fights that allowed the other Crusaders to shine , but when did we ever really get to relate with some of these characters? Part 3 spoilers ahead;
Polnareff's growth as a character is not only tempered by comic relief but the fact that every individual that really gets close to him dies, he goes from a hot-tempered braggart to an individual that appreciates the sacrifices his friends have made for his sake. That's what makes the Vanilla Ice fight so satisfying and why he feels like more of a main character to me than Part 3 Jotaro.
I guess that's what makes Part 4 so good, the s normalcy of teenagers living in a town and acting like teenagers serves as a refreshing change to all the crazy stuff that Jojo usually does. SDC ranks second last on my Part list because of that fatal flaw, and while I do appreciate it for the introduction of Stands, Araki could've done a bit more to develop the users themselves. Please let me know if I'm over-analyzing this or being pretentious.

i agree.

polnareff was one of the best parts of part 3. he was just such a fun character.

It's funny because wherever I see it being talked about, whether it's on /r/stardustcrusaders or Youtube, people are complaining that it's too generic or that KD isn't doing it glorious CG justice. Honestly? It's amazing and really fits the tone of the first act, I always love to compare part 4 to Scooby Doo, it has a monster/villain of the week format and nails it just fine. Just because it isn't as "manly" as the previous openings doesn't really mean a thing to me, because the plot revolves around a bunch of teenagers experiencing their wacky down. It's a very slice of life-y first half, and thus the first opening is slice of life-y. Get down with the Duwang Gang.
