Another explosion struck Maelbeek metro station an hour later. The Brussels mayor said at least 20 people were killed, according to Belgian media.

Belgium has now raised its terrorism threat to its highest level.

The attacks come four days after Salah Abdeslam, the main fugitive in the Paris attacks, was seized in Brussels.

Same as everyone else. Pretty much when everyone stopped being worried about it, but the intention is really to make the refugee crisis worse, the more chaos and controversy the less time spent preventing this.

We do not have to be afraid of the dark that they live in. That is the point. Don't fall into it - this is what happens every time, and people get up in arms about things and they get emotional, and make emotional decisions that effect the rest of our lives.
The best thing that you can do is help people who are hurt, and get them back on their feet in a real effective manner, and then figure out how to go forward from there, and don't celebrate these people by being afraid of them.

Pretty much, I remember when Burnie first said that, worse were some people missing the point entirely to say he eas supporting just letting these things happen. But hey, bad parts of fandoms.
Can only wish people there are safe and something reasonable can be done about it, not panic and prejudice.

I do too. I think it was because someone said RoosterTeeth should be ashamed of themselves because they had a bombing in an episode of RvB or something like that.

Agreed. While it's good to have emotions in relation to stuff like this, we shouldn't let it cloud our judgement when it comes to solving the issue.

Eh, it was in some large scale RT show, I can't remember which. I figured it wasn't RWBY since I've seen all of it, so I went with the more popular one.

Islamic State (IS) militants have issued an official statement claiming the Brussels attacks, following up on an earlier report from the IS-affiliated A'maq news agency claiming responsibility on behalf of the group.

The branded statement, issued via IS's official social media accounts, warned of worse to come for "Crusader states allied against the Islamic State".

The statement said targets in the Belgian capital had been "carefully selected", suggesting the attacks might have been centrally directed. The statement did not indicate how many IS operatives were involved. It claimed more than 40 people had been killed and over 210 injured.
