It's a board that hovers. It has wheels but it still does the former things.

Unless it's a bootleg, then it hovers a bit then catches on fire.

If it has wheels is it really hovering? That's like saying a skateboard is a hoverboard.

Honestly I think people call them hoverboards because nobody knows what else to call them. I'm sure as hell not going to call them Swagways like Modell's likes to suggest.

Modell's (sporting goods retail chain in the Northeast) carries a brand that is titled Swagways. It's a stupid name but considering how many bootlegs can be found in the city they're probably the most legit you'll get right now.

Because the creators of it made a bet back in the 80's that hoverboards would be out in 2015. It didn't happen so they made this under the name of a hoverboard.
