I still don't have any interest in getting any version of Fates at this point. If I did, though, I would get Conquest.

Yeah, I really want all 3 (but only will if I can get the SE on release day in store), but am having trouble deciding which one I should get. I keep flipping which side I want.

Nohr has the traditional weapons and classes, and I want that.
Hoshido allows revisiting chapters (I think), and better supplies, and that would be nice.

So, therefore, my question is on the prominence of My Castle.

So I can recruit a character from the team I defeat, and I can purchase the other side's weapons. The character will not speak or form supports, but will have all other attributes of the character. I can also buy the other side's weapons from the shop there. However, StreetPass is not a thing I am able to use much.
Is there enough options to use My Castle besides StreetPass so that I can get Birthright, yet have the classes and weapons of Conquest, to an extent?

To Spoiler 1: They both essentially have traditional weapons, save for tomes in Nohr and scrolls in Hoshido. Neither side allows revisiting chapters (they never did this in any game lol), but you can revisit areas where there's a challenge to face enemies and grind, or use Gold to instantly summon them into the location of your choice. (similar to how Reeking Boxes worked in Awakening).

Spoiler 2: Not sure if you can recruit them, haven't played enough of the My Castle battles to know about it, but it should act like it did in Awakening if you did recruit them (basically what you explained). As for your 2nd point, Yes. You don't really need to use Streetpass at all. You can connect online and visit other castles, and use their armories and shops to purchase weapons that you don't have (ie: Scrolls can only be purchased in Hoshido, but you want Tomes for your Mage. You connect to a Nohr player's castle, and you can buy Tomes from their shop.) Classes, maybe not. Unless you imprison enemies you capture using Orochi and convince them using the Jail in My Castle, you won't have those Nohr classes. This works vice-versa in both version, except Orochi's counterpart in Conquest is Niles/Zero.

Classes I was going with by meaning recruiting the other side via My Castle. I heard and was pretty sure it would work akin to Awakening, as you said. Thanks for confirming what I expected.
And nice that you can connect online for it, that's a nice touch over StreetPass for me.

For something else to talk about before Fates comes out, how about top 5 favorite characters from each game you've played so far? I think mine would be:

Path of Radiance / Radiant Dawn: Tormod, Makalov, Ike, Edward, Marcia
Sacred Stones: Rennac, Lute, Ewan, Knoll, Vanessa
Awakening: Gaius, Maribelle, Chrom, Nowi, Priam

It's really hard for me to choose a top 5 for Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. There's so many more I like.

I heard the Hoshido Noble SUCKS, and since Birthright is the path I am taking I am just going to use the day 1 free DLC (Hero's Brand + Exalt's Brand) I am going to use the Exalt's Brand instead of promoting to the awful Hoshido Noble.

don't even waste your time reclassing with a second seal, especially with a character thats hardly suited for the job. just let the character hit max at their base class and then reclass them to their next level with a master seal.

it's what i usually do, to be honest, im not sure about it being the best strategy but eh? it works i guess.

i honestly only thought the secondary seals were there in case you had a surplus of characters that were the same class, and to get certain characters skills from other classes.

Nope, it's called Exalt's Brand (The item) which allows you to promote to Great Lord.

I think the most dissaponting feature in Fates are the reused models of characters in Awakening. Although Gius is my favorite character from Awakening I don't care enough for Gius 2 in Fates.

I know I made it sound like that, but it's deeper than that. It's mostly all the controversy. I'd rather play If, the Japanese version, rather than Fates.

And afterwords they had a daughter who "playfully" "plays" with her enemies like a chew toy.
(Well more like savagely murders, but I think she would describe it like this)

She doesn't look bad with Azura hair tho I guess, but I still think she's better with Orochi hair.

I just finished Birthright. I think it's pretty much on par with Awakening, but I don't think I could pick between them.
I'm working on Conquest again now, after stopping for a while to finish Birthright, but so far, I'm not loving it compared to Birthright.

Also here's my Birthright castle code and info for anyone that wants it. I took this right after I got My Castle so obviously the Visits and Battles counts have changed, but otherwise it should still be the same.

This game is great, I have like 40 hours in it and am barely getting bored yet.

And I've only been grinding for supports until Revelation comes out since I beat the main story.

Chapter 15 of Conquest is really... odd...

I'm stressing over trying to get all the Conquest kids before the difficulty spike in their paralogues (

Approaching Chapter 13 in Conquest (I'll get Birthright later) and loving it, even though it made a mockery of me very early on and I had to bump the difficulty down to Normal because I'm a scrub.

Accidentally deleted my main when I started my Nohr file. (At least I made a back up when I was at Chapter 23 in Birthright)

I finished the Soileil battle but she fell and I ****ing saved over it like a goddamn idiot.

I don't even want to play Conquest anymore I don't even like it compared to Birthright. I'll just wait for Revelation to come out.
