Synopsis: The surface of the world has been "poisoned" and survivors live in underground numbered "Silos," governed by a single "Mayor" who controls every aspect of their life. They're told the surface is uninhabitable and it follows the journey of a young woman who escapes from the Vaul-oh "Silo."
Yeah, I've not heard this before...

There wouldn't happen to be a less-than-benevolent mega corporation behind the creation of the Silos, would there? |

I haven't read much of it yet, but I won't be surprised if there is. A diagram of a Silo:

How do they dispose of the dead? Where is the waste management? Is that tiny farm supposed to provide them all with food and oxygen? How do they feed the cattle? Aren't there any kind of facilities for recreational activities? What about healthcare and storage departments? I have so many questions. Did they think this through at all? Edit: I just also realized that if a fire would start in the power plant, everyone in the floors above it would die with no hope for survival. |

Of course he didn't think it through. How do the dissabled/incapacitated get from floor to floor if there's no lift? |
