Eon's Elite is never going to truly be an elite, it's just giving it to the original 32... even the really bad ones.

Bad gameplay doesn't make them bad in-universe.

Also, I haven't seen any footage yet, but apparently Rollerbrawl's supercharged challenge has Grim Creeper styled ghosts? Eurgh, fixing chompies doesn't mean it's just fine to keep things changed for no good reason elsewhere, this isn't the Pac-Man reboot for them to look like sentient goop. Heck, Beenox got the ghosts right in Racing.

Any one see the new kits? Includes Boost kit for 1.99 Super kit 4.99 and the Mega for 9.99 or you can use gears as well.

10 bucks for a few rare things is excessive,maybe if it didn't include the Powerups since you can get tons of dupes of them. Really hoping Acti is just testing out interest and not actually serious on these prices.


Also nobody told me Bone Bash Rollerbrawl does the screw attack. Gosh darn it Nightfall is still arriving tomorrow too.

Well, with that short video, it's kinda obvious her design process was straightfoward. Nothing changed enough to like over her final one either, since the bright pink is kinda meh.

But of course no one's going to explain how Dreadwalkers work and why they need the breathing mask(as they said that they just look aquatic). But they did say 'she's pretty much an eel', which does say that she has a row of giant pearly whites under that mask.

Look I can see they slapped a fine Dreamworks grin in the first design let me pretend that VV actually knows how to do mouths

Someone needs to make that man sit down and watch an extremely long tutorial about drawing mouths and different expressions with them. Seriously,it's not even the grin that's the problem anymore, he only knows how to make single teeth rows in that angle. There's occasionally the character with normal teeth but it shouldn't be so rare for VV.

She sure had some interesting designs. From an eel to an octopus-mama and finally our beloved dreadwalker. I thought that she would have a more humanoid design at first and then they changed it to a more beastly-humanoid. The Sea Shadow just looked ridiculous, I'm glad it ended up the way it is.

I love these videos. Would love to see them for other past characters.

Ok,ok, LAST Battlecast intermission. Credits to ZapNorris on the thread there - Battlecast packs are coming out on March 1st, so the game is coming out on that week most likely! I know some people stopped checking the subforum because they thought it'd take too long so here's your update. Now I'll try to keep it short and just really about stuff found on spells because it's offtopic.

Ontopic, I'd really like to see that 'vicious pet' concept go somewhere with another character. While that design in specific looks too exaggerated, it's still a pretty comical concept to have a lady that thinks she's being the hero but her pet is the one actually doing all the dirty work. It's also a more morally gray character than we've got,especially compared to Nightfall.

Still speaking of her,currently no source but apparently her VA is Nika Futterman. I don't know why it took me that long to figure out, Asajj Ventress sounds pretty similar. But... Sticks the Badger?!

I just wanted to point out something there, to not drive the Wave 4/4.5 topic off.

Take a look at Eggcited Thrillipede's artwork.
Done?
Now look at his CG figure image.
Now at his in-game model.
And finally at his actual figure.

Do you see two images which are exactly the same...?

V.V. amazed me once again.
They already went pretty close to ridiculousness with Astroblast but here they completely outdid themselves.
I'm not gonna lie, I think the green part on his granades isn't there because it was the same color as his skin in his regular version, it got automatically changed to white and they couldn't care to paint it back.

It's not a matter of personal tastes it's a matter of objectively saying they couldn't care less and I'm sorry but It's not the first time I use these words while talking about SuperChargers.

To remain on the characters, have you noticed how many of them has missing or different paints in figure form, compared to their GC figure, in-game model and artwork?
Maybe not because they are mostly small details but when you start to sum them up together... They become big.

On the other hand, vehicles are almost perfect which annoys me even more.

This variant is not only yet another answer to my "why do I not care about alter egoes?" question but also another answer to "why am I so critic about this year's experience?".

Sorry for the "rant" (I tried to be as objective as I could) but if this isn't the right place to post these thoughts, I don't know what could it be.

And Trail Blazer is still brought up whenever people say VV's quality is still far from TFB's. A small hue change is a small mistake compared to this or Astroblast or Nightfall. Though,on Nightfall's defense,the artwork follows the figure,which is the one that's wrong to begin with(she has gold accents and gradient instead of glitter on her jacket for starters, and as a really stupid change her hooks have a different hue than her mask when ingame they're the same???), but it's still pretty big.

And yeah Drek, there are obvious differences between the figure, art work and in game pic, not only the grenades but also the glasses, eyes and hooves. I like the way he looks in game, but the figure, well... feels really cheap. However I must have it in front of me to really have a better idea, but seeing how astroblast was made, I will not have a lot of expectations.

I'm here just observing the Eggcited Apocalipse from distance.

Well... Trail Blazer has really no excuses to look the way he does in toy form, but at least it is a mistake which doesn't make him look objectively bad or bland.

Not to mention the fact he was one of 34 brand new Skylanders.
SuperChargers only has 10 new characters and 20 new character's figures as a whole, I think the least they can do is make them look awesome, if anything for the price bump...

To be fully honest, Trail Blazer is a pretty unoriginal idea too. Ponyta and Rapidash are the OG fire horses.

That's indeed true but neither of them has ever been directly playable, so it's still cool taking control of a fast and furious flaming horse.

And at least he was a brand new character with a brand new moveset, something quite rare these days.

They have been playable in Mystery Dungeon and Rumble,but to be fair they played exactly like every other Fire type.
I like how his design comes together,but I feel like he lacked some flair. Maybe if he had an Appaloosa or Sabino coat to have a bit of a varying pattern.

Also,there was not enough Yuri Lowenthal on his voice. You're not using his range enough if he doesn't sound straight out of a shonen.

Well, now that there's gameplay of Thrillipede out... Sorely disappointed. His voice is every Swapper combined for a snorefest that even they couldn't muster with all the 'Power surge!', his animations are just too stiff and unnatural,and the gameplay feels like it didn't even try to do something new - it's just several other skylanders' gimmicks combined for something that doesn't seem to stand out at all. He throws projectile,does melee, and explodes, which is something that covers a lot of problems but feels pretty mindless. Doesn't help our first impression is with Eggcited.

Not gonna lie, if it wasn't for the figure, Astroblast would've moved up a bit - at least he looks impressive ingame.

Well, i would have loved to move while flying, that's my main issue with hum.

Is it me ir thrillipede's wings look different from his soul gem preview?i mean in the gameplay vídeos they are like a firefly's but un the sg preview they look like a butterfly's.is it posible this is a difference due to eggcited being a variant?

Variants hardly ever get different effects,doesn't seem likely.

The flying is actually the best part about his gameplay since it's like a ranged version of Blackout's Cloud Gravity. The rest just feel stiff - the grenades are high throws like Pop Fizz's but really short reach, the punching is seriously lazy looking,and the cocoon is just eh and with the startup doesn't feel that useful. The parkour roll at the end of every jump also is pretty unecessary; it's cute but that means he also pops out of it like there are several frames missing.

Also, did we just have three characters introduced first by variant in this game? Thrillipede, Astroblast and Triggs? Not sure how I like that,especially since the first two weren't good first impressions at all.

Oh Autism speaks is awful, but I'm glad they're just trying to raise awareness (VV and Acti, not AS, they're trash). It's an unexpected combo for sure.

Maybe next year we'll get Power Pink characters for Breast Cancer Awareness?

That would be hard to explain(uh, kids, this is supporting a really good organization that looks to cure and prevent diseases on the....uh... Chest!),but that'd be a better way to go about it,yeah.

I'm not worried about fighting in the forums between users, at least REALLY HOPING people are above it. More worried about outsiders(to not direct to a single group) coming in to lecture us about the obvious and how problematic we are for buying the Power Blues or even accepting they exist.

I even have very mild autism, and I agree they put people like that in a VERY bad light. I get it, Activision, wants to raise awareness and help, and that's a very good idea for variants, but they chose the wrong company. It's not a major "sickness," there is no medicinal "cure," and people function and deal with it. I really hope they make better decisions next time for who to partner with when it comes to awareness.

Not going to say anything about the reason why Power Blues were created (just found out and I appreciate the effort) but I'm absolutely not sorry to say they are yet other lazy and bad looking variants.

Seriously, is partially unpainted figures Activision's idea of variants...?

Sad to hear Thrillipede's gameplay seems disappointing, Bifrost.
I was really counting on him but I still have hope; many times trying out a character by yourself can change your opinion.
Booo on the personality side, I think this game already has enough "COOL, POWERFUL, OVER-THE-TOP, EXTREME" to it.

I woulnd't say Thrillipede's personality is all EXTREME-ish. Its more like he's the guy who's always in a good mood who laughs a lot. He does laugh a lot in game.

His laughs don't feel too genuine though,it's not much different from the normal lines that sound kinda disinterested. Maybe he sounds a bit more lively in the quest but haven't seen that yet.
