Just got what was supposed to be birthday bash pop fizz from toysrus... but after paying $20.99 I received a "open littlest pet shop toy to that smells like cigarette smoke". That's right not a skylander and it was open like it had been used. I'm so mad right now, but if you ordered from them make sure you get what you paid for.

The invoice says its birthday bash pop fizz, but instead it's a littlest pet shop toy (for girls) and it looks like it was opened and then returned. The inside of the bubble mailer smells like cigarette smoke too. This is what I received after placing an order on toysrus.com for birthday bash pop fizz.

Wow. Did the package look like it had been opened/re-taped? I doubt toyrus.com shipped you not only the wrong item, but something opened and smelling like cigarettes. I would assume that was done by a carrier employee during shipping.

Either way call up toysrus.com and have them overnight you the correct item or go a store to pick one up.

Shipping package was closed up tight like all the other skylanders I have bought from them. No signs of it being opened and resealed. Also the littlest pet shop item says its toysrus exclusive on the package.

PS. I only ordered it as my store sold out before I could get there (they said they had sold them all when I got there 2 hours after they opened on the day of release).

Human error...it happens. I'm surprised they sent you a used toy that smelled of cigarette smoke, but I know they try to resell stuff that has been returned...I got a beat up Mirror of Mystery expansion set with tape all over it (definitely didn't look anything like new condition). Best buy once sent me a figure which was supposed to be new with torn cardboard backing and taped up. I'd call them right away and have them overnight a new one to you. They will give you trouble if they don't have it in stock and will probably still take a few days to ship out to you by their fulfillment department. I'd ask for a token gift card for the trouble...they just might send you a $10 certificate in addition to a replacement figure, though you might need to speak to somebody higher up than a frontline rep you get when you call.

Ring up customer service and ask for a replacement. Here in Australia no one orders from ToysRUs online, they always send it in padded bag and the item ALWAYS shows up damaged.

Called and got a refund, after which I ordered one off ebay. The funny thing is ebay was cheaper... (ebay was $16.85 and free shipping. My toysrus order had been $13.99 + $5.99 shipping and $0.84 tax)

I once ordered Doom Stone for my friend. I got a Doom Stone in it's packaging bubble, but the bubble was taped hastily and unevenly on a Trap Team magic mini double pack . Needless to say, my friend got a good laugh out of that too.

That's really odd.
Maybe the package was supposed to be a return that accidentally got shipped out instead?

tru sent me some toy ammo instead of jet vac when i ordered him back in sept. Was interesting thou ur story sounds worse.

That is why I bought mines from Target!

Mine wasn't too bad, a few years ago I ordered the legendary triple pack with legendary versions of ignitor, slam bam and jet-vac. When it came in the mail I did get an ignitor but it was the regular in a triple pack with two other skylanders. The next day went to toysrus and just swapped it for one that they had in store.

call the customer service number and don't be mean to them on the phone. they're really good at taking care of these things, from crushed boxes to figures not working. i had this issue with the gill grunts that were that metallic green and they took care of them for me without much of an issue.

I know I'm late to this thread (VERY LATE, sorry about that) but when I got a Rip Tide the other day, the plastic had been stapled to the card backing very poorly, so he had clearly been opened then returned.

SLIGHTLY RELATED, SAME THING: I also once ordered two Jurassic World Velociraptors. They sent a Mr Potato Head box, which contained Thomas trains. So after I phoned them telling me they got the wrong order sent to me, they found the poor lady who got two plastic dinosaurs instead of £100's worth of electric Thomas trains, swapped them, and my raptors were still in a My Little Pony box instead of a Jurassic World one!

i ordered 2 Spring Ahead Dive Bombers, what I just received just now were 2 regular Dive Bombers...(sarcastic) thanks toysrus.com for screwing up yet another one of my orders.

Those regular figures are pretty rare though...

on a note about the Birthday Bash Pop Fizz that we've noticed...

some of them have their yellow gloved hand way up in the air (like he's waving), others in the middle range (where it seems normal and most are), and others lower down (looking like he's pointing to the ground).
