It's the edgy teenager wave from around 2005 all over again,except this time they want the whole world to know about it and not just deviantART and fanfiction places.

Being suicidal is a mental illness for crying out loud! Why would anyone say something like that?

Muh feels is always the answer. This is why a while ago tumblr had to step in and ban posts encouraging self-harm,too.

It's not even vile,it's just stupid. They don't have any big issues to deal with because they're probably decently wealthy or don't give their social/mental issues real attention, and instead of looking at themselves and saying they need to keep it to themselves or change something that's TRULY harmful, they put themselves in a little hugbox and lie to themselves that they're doing the right thing,the world just doesn't understand. It only gets worse on top of social justice or mental illnesses; I heard people call others ableist for trying to help them get treatment. Of course the people that called USUALLY doesn't have the illness themselves, they just want to babysit(read: bully) someone weaker for attention.

It only gets more complicated and jerkish from there. Which is why I said what I said in my first post,it's the edgelord wave from last decade, just replace your sparkledogs and Dark the Hedgehog for social issues and Fanfiction.net for Tumblr. And this time,someone could VERY LIKELY get killed over it.

The comment is offensive but making assumptions about what compelled someone to make that comment is equally offensive IMO.

If the person is making light of suicide that isn't a moment to share on tumblr. If they're having those issues, they should be seeking help instead of convincing themselves it's right, and if it's someone they know, they should be helping that person instead of pretending that it can only be for a good cause. Even worse is that this kind of stuff can and sometimes already has pushed people over the edge.

Different people live in different circumstances. Maybe this person honestly doesn't have someone to turn to (often a cause of suicide/suicidal thoughts) so they just vented on their tumblr. It may not be the smartest thing to do but for some people it's all they have.

That's assuming they even were suicidal or knew anyone who was. At the end of the day, all I'm seeing here is an image file of a tumblr post where someone glorifies suicide and someone else reacts badly to it. There is no need to make angry assumptions about what kind of people these posters are based off of a line or two. Best to just move along. It's a stupid thing that was said, but what else is new?

Im offended that everyone gets offended. Get out, breathe fresh air and engage in discussion face to face.
