Riptide sucks
drill sergeant sucks
blastermind is my favorite trap master
knight light is better than knight mare
Ninjini is overrated
Zap is fun to use
Giants is the best game in the series
Astroblast and Thrillipede are cool and unique
Fiesta is actually quite weak, but i like him for his design
Chef Pepper Jack is a fun, awesome villain
Trap Shadow is ugly

If things didn't continue,well,they wouldn't have continued :U
If they kept the DemonWare engine or just TFB though, I could see them bombing hard because they'd get tired eventually like it happened with other yearly series.

They have been pushed aside as much as nearly 90% of the cast, so it's not really out of the spotlight - especially Spyro who keeps on going in the comics(because he was pretty much pointless this last arc and the minicomics but appeared anyway) and will star in the cartoon series. Cynder seems to just get buried under most of the other popular Undead skylanders too, since they all have greatly varying gameplay/designs, it's not like if she was, say, Air,and would be an easy picking for returning or merch.

Fixed everything about your post (except the run on sentence) [please note this is my opinion in the way I changed it, I am not trying to be rude or partake in this argument even if I am]. Also, I may not agree that Giants is the best, but it's ages ahead of SSF. I prefer SSA and STT over it, but I can't say anything about SSC yet as I haven't played it. |

What angers me about this game is that no effort goes into them. There is sooooo much they could do to make these games amazing, but instead they choose to force stupid gimmicks down our throat and look for more ways to make money. I'm so glad I stopped after Giants.

SG is good, but boring. What else is there to do? Brocks Arena challenges and Heroics? As sad as it is, Heroics make little to no difference in the future games, though I do like Brocks Arena challenges, even though then again, every other game except SSC has had something similar, but SSF's arenas are better. SSF's combat and knockback mechanics make the arena's even more fun. I love the artstyle. What's better? I'm giving Toys For Bob the benefit of the doubt and the game must have been rushed, but STT's artstyle? It's just a mix of realistic looking objects and cartoonish looking objects. SSC perfects this, it combines the best of SSF and STT and makes the realistic and detailed characters look good while still fitting in with the rest of the TFB cast. The worst combat mechanics? ... In a game so far?.. Huh? C'mon man, STT had terrible sometimes overpowered, sometimes underpowered characters in the game that were completely disproportionate and plain unfair when fighting a boss, and even the harder modes require you to play as a trap master or someone with good ranged attacks to even survive. SSF is perfect, the hard modes were not too difficult, but challenging. Not to mention you could play as whoever you wanted and still win if you found the right strategy. It didn't matter if you used a Swapper, or a core, unlike STT. Bonus missions were lame? Huh? They were fun, and had a fun story while the Heroics were much shorter and didn't offer much of a reward. I remember staying up late having fun grinding all the Bonus Missions on multiple difficulties just because they were fun, and I wanted three stars on everything. You say it "ruined the concept of PVP"? How? It was just the same as all the games before it, only with better graphics? What's your point? Yes, you are correct the previous Skylander games focus was on Skylanders, but I never said it wasn't. I was saying SSF was better than STT and SSC because it was the best game to have actual Skylanders as the focus, and not some other gimmick traps, vehicles etc. Also, I usually don't review my posts because I just type large paragraphs like this quickly, so I probably will have a run on sentence lol. |

Superchargers has plenty of effort put into the game, so did Trap Team. It's just obviously yearly hurting the games that they cut everything that's not story or gimmick; seriously at some points I could show you where they cut level or a minigame or extra area down to the spot.

It stretched out everything to far too much of an extent (levels, score mode, time attack, bonus missions, arenas). I usually don't object to extra content, but they stretched it all out way too much. "ruined the concept of PVP"? How?" It ruined PVP through using a similar layout to its own poorly designed arena challenges. "Heroics make little to no difference in the future games" Bonus missions offer absolutely no reward in later games. While knockback was nice, the damage-health ratio was way off-center compared to the other games. "It's just a mix of realistic looking objects and cartoonish looking objects." Perfectly describes SSF, and still STT as well. For me, the artstyle in SSF was just way off in comparison to the TFB games. It made it seem like a completely different game, with that coupled with too much farming and stretched out missions. "STT had terrible sometimes overpowered, sometimes underpowered characters in the game that were completely disproportionate and plain unfair" I do agree with this one though. "SSF is perfect, the hard modes were not too difficult, but challenging." As I said, the damage-health ratio was way off-center, making the best of this game's characters weaker than the worst of STT's when playing in Easy/Normal/Hard in either. (I have to agree that in Nightmare, however, some of STT's were way way way underpowered, even if some were underpowered before, they were still better than the ratio of damage-health in SSF) [As I said before, I'm still just stating opinions] |

STT's Nightmare bosses are something I can say should've never happened tho. Like Pepperjack. ESPECIALLY Pepperjack. Whoever made that fight with the changing control directions and left it as is better really didn't like people that day.

Opinion: He really is though. Just spamming his 2ndary button plows through everything - no damage taken, quick destruction dished out - in the first two games. While I do accept your premise (and opinion), the words are still very opinionated. Quote: Reverse0456
Did you take him down the forcefield ball path? It's necessary for the OP-ness. It starts and stops at such a rate down that path that that's where my damage count comes from. Yeah that thing is annoying. I wish there were more of them too, they were awesome to fight. |

I did take him down the Ultimate Spinner path it great for dodging and treversing around the battlefield and it helps me glitch through to the mention secret area in the ruins wrecking ball for getting huge piles of gold but I again that does not make me consider him OP I still think he's decent. Also I don't know why the don't use more dark skylanders as bosses there way more interesting and could offer more then a larger version of a troll tank or lord stratosfer or other bosses

I don't have WB so no knowledge on this, but I second the Minion Skylanders. They're easy bosses and a darn shame to be removed; could've just kept him as the Ambushes which were probably some of the most intense moments in Giants. You're walking around a Gate feeling like you own the world since there are hardly many enemies then BAM TRIPLE SUNBURN RUINING YOUR DAY. And since you can just slap a black texture and smart AI on them, you can make minions out of any Skylander asset.

The naming scheme is Evil "Skylander's Species/Role" Minion, so it'd be Evil Warrior Minion or something :U
Imagine triple Evil Seahorse Dragon Minion; she'll always finish a combo with the charge move. Thousands of collections destroyed. We should rename this thread refugees from the Skylanders board or something, it's just general stuff about Skylanders that I haven't seen discussed in quite some time there :U

Stone Golem was a really cool boss, brought me back to collectathons of old with the dodging phase-attacking phase switching. We haven't really had any big boss battle like that ever since, too, every other giant boss is one of those background bosses with weakpoints that occasionaly get to you reach. There's the second phase of Golden Queen that gets really close, but it's so buggy it's sad.

Ok I'm find out some cool stuff and I have some other things
I really like the elemental gates in Giants when you walk up to a water area waterspouts will pop up or in a fire area flames will block you it was a nice touch and once you get by them I feel like I'm playing something fresh and new area a great example was the chapter Arieal Attack they went really creative with the area and puzzles that's not to say SAA did a bad job I well believe some off them were unique to Dark Light Crypt's Fire gate was one that stood out and even Swap force did a great job but the I wish the dual elemental gates were tweet and took more advantage of them. Sc was a disappointment and TT to even with the Light and Dark gates something felt missing. I'm just curious on all your opinions on Elemntal/Superchargers Gates

Cooler elemental gates were great, I remember when it was celebrated that they'd be whole sections of level and much bigger, even if it was only one or two huge zones per element. Really felt like there were elemental energies flunctuating and just forcing the land to change, not a hole in a wall or small island that happens to look a bit dead or has a ton of balloons.

I just want the next game to have more focus on the elements, period. The elemental powers in SSC were a nice touch, but what would be really neat is expansion of the idea of having areas that only characters of a certain element can travel through or survive in.
