As far as I know, no evidence to support it and none against it. I hope it's true though, my Pit amiibo is starving to be used as something other than a costume/CPU.

I used to never see Charizard, but since Best Buy's restock of the load of the rarer ones and some exclusive breaking, I see Charizard frequently.

Skymiibo confirmed for a standalone release.

I picked up Captain Falcon today.

Gonna have to pick up the regular DK pack.

Ironic how some people that used to be common (or at least uncommon/semi-rare) have became the rates/unicorns but characters like Villager and Ike are now semi-rare.

Nintendo's clearly better at handling these toy releases than any other Toys to Life series. The rare ones always get restocks. I wish Activision would adopt this trait. coughyawntrapscough

News came out today that later this month Nintendo World Store will be closing down temporarily for refurbishment. It'll last from the 19th of January to the 19th of February.

Aren't stores able to just print out stickers for the label/peg whenever they want? This doesn't prove anything, especially since half those amiibo haven't gotten a CPSIA update at all/recently.

Shovel Knight doesn't have the silver foil all other Amiibos have that prevents you from scanning them while they are still in the box, so if you want to use it but also keep it NiB, you can do that.

tbh still kinda hoping they release it in a single pack in other regions, so far there havent been any region exclusives, and then GMM would be the only amiibo not released in Japan (so no Japanese-text base).

It was literally only announced in the US version of the Nintendo Direct it was announced in and there has been no other news on it since other than pre-orders for it going up only on American retailer websites (I have it pre-ordered on Amazon US anyway).

Also Gold Mario and Silver Mario are still region exclusives, they still haven't been released in Europe and there has been no announcement of them coming either. It's just exclusive to multiple regions now rather than just the US.
