Finished first semester of uni with a 4.0 [CLOSED]

Not bad, I think. Was shooting for a 4.0, but I'll take it. Not partying in a party town actually gets you places, who'da thunk it?


All I (Metallo) have to say is that I (Metallo) did my best and I (Metallo) am happy that I got good grades because Metallo thinks good grades are important for when I (Metallo) try to get into grad school


EDIT: Spanish professor emailed me this morning saying he made a mistake; I actually got an A in his class instead of an A-. So, all A's then!

A 4.0 GPA is an A average and the student basically got near perfect grades in all of their classes. So achieving even close to that in college is pretty exciting.

It's weird how specific the American grading system is compared to here, we don't get no fancy point scores, my overall standing for the year was "good". That's it. That's all it said.

Nope, not at all.


I mean, first semester is typically the easiest one, so you want to end it as high as possible to get a good foundation.

Well done!

I got a first (top grade) in my first uni test. Waiting for the rest of the results from the other assignments, presentations and tests I've done.
I have been doing a lot of partying though hahaha.

Ah ok cool. Where I live it's calculated as a percentage and the highest you can get is 99.99% so I guess that's equivalent to around 90% over here.

That's very good. Although it should also be taken into the account of the subjects chosen, since a person who got very high marks with hard subjects compared to a person getting high marks for easy subjects makes a massive difference.

But all that matters is that you're passing uni, so that's great! :)
