Oh wow I didn't even remember gems were a thing. Have been hoarding them since my first day playing because you never know when you'll want a boon of fertility or costume set.
Server downtime in the 17th, hopefully Night of the Nocturne not too long after. I wish Emissary and Octave had grinding up to level 20 already but 15 will have to do for my mages.

They also added a ton of neon recolors to the coli to balance out easy materials. I have no problem with the intention,but c'mon the Blue Honeycomb just looks lazy.

Wow,grinding in Golem Workshop is so nice when you get a good roll. I got in a hurry to get Emissary up to level 17 and thought I'd have to restart over and over,but as long as I don't forget to heal, I lasted pretty long even after a boss encounter.

EDIT: Registration got extended for another day. Get it today and enjoy the one extra day of playing before the downtime in the 17th.

I want to add something else, but I can't figure out what else he needs to complete his outfit.

If anyone's planning to see the new Star Wars movie, don't go into General Discussion. Some arseface put a bunch of spoilers in his signature. ("NovaProcessor", if anyone's wondering)

Really hoping training mages for Golem Workshop(since I already have Kelp Beds farmers) was worth the time :U

What's night of Nocturne?

@ Paris, Night of the Nocturne is a 2 week celebration where the Nocturne species comes out of hiding. You can find Nocturne chests through Digging or the Colisseum. These chests are the only ways to get Breed Change scrolls for Nocturnes and First Generation Nocturne Eggs.

Maybe we can brew chests or some prizes this year with the brewing.

^I'm hoping so.

It's live! You can get them by Coli,Baldwin or Gathering(Scavenging is better for chances of Unhatched Nocturne Eggs)

Chests,new Familiar and new clothing on Baldwin are also up to level 5! Brew,brew,brew!

EDIT: Double checked the guides, Kelp Beds is actually the better place to grind because the bosses are a pushover while you're far in while Frost Delver and friends will drain your precious breath and force you to restart.

For Baldwin, you better have hoarded familiars - chest and familiar recipes take a lot of Muck.

EDIT2: Screw best regular grinding places,apparently Delta and Arena are the only ones that are even spawning Nocturne enemies at a good rate let alone dropping chests regularly. Punching through Unlikely Alliances like there's no tomorrow but still just about 4 dropped these last few hours.

Last NotN it took me four days of grinding to get an egg. This year I got one from literally the first chest I opened. I'm loving the changes they made.

The hard part is deciding whether to hatch it or not.....

I'm only getting bears,which are the last thing I want, can't even use them for Muck crafting. At least there's plenty of mimic dust to go by in the earlier areas,but I wish I had known that before grinding for like an hour in Kelp Beds getting nothing but fish and candles.

I NEED the Conjurer's set. Any help is greatly appreciated.

am i the only one who thinks this pretty much sucks as much as last years notn?

last year i got a lot of chests with nothing in them

I wasn't here last year but this really sucks. People who worked their butts off last year to get bears will probably get ANYTHING but the new familiars, people who are starting out are even worse since the recipes take way too much of uncommon materials/ coli drop rates FOR BOTH SPAWNS AND CHESTS are horrible.
What's even worse is that this depends on venue,so screw balance I guess(good luck getting anything on Mire,Waterway or Bamboo Falls). I'm at 84 bee orchids from so many Unexpected Alliances,haven't gone over 7 chests yet, but I'm pretty sure I fought another 100 with zero drops.

I'll just get an egg, a breed change scroll,and never touch the coli again for the rest of this year. Not worth it for anything else, even this is a bit too much to ask.

And of course there's a huge lag spike as I get full breath on my farmers and I lose all the preparation on Sandswept Delta. Anyone want bee orchids and crystal balls?

EDIT: Oh Coli crashed for real. Maybe they'll actually bump those encounter+chest rates to at least 30% before putting it back up e_e'

Everyone's saying the drop/encounter rates are **** but I've gotten like 10 chests in like 2 hours? Dunno if I'm just really lucky or it's just people with bad luck are very angry and very loud about it.

Like mirrors in the arena are showing up for me every few battles, with chests dropping maybe every five-ten mirror battles.

I've been grinding for the last 7 hours,you're definately with good luck or I'm with really bad luck e_e' Tried Mirrors and Jawlockers and they never dropped anything but dust,putting all my bets on Unexpected Alliances since they at least give once per hour.

The worst part is that the new enemies only drop familiars in the chests. So don't expect to grind against a specific one to get that,chest only. If that was the case I'd have a hoard full of those ball things.
But done for today, really want that breed change scroll,but my patience ran out entirely now that the site is with lag again.

i've gotten two chests in about three hours and one of those chests had a bear

and i really don't have time to put so much effort into something i hate there's a reason why it took me over a year to get my team to level 25

At least grinding your first team has all the new loot for hoarders and funny descriptions(and even in elemental holidays you can choose what you want since it's enemy/venue-specific), this stops being new real quick.

I hate how coli-centric all the festivals are, maybe if it was actually fun and rewarding I might've participated.

Baldwin's Brew doesn't help considering that it's complete RNG. FR honestly has the weirdest crafting system I've ever seen. It doesn't matter how rare or valuable your materials are, you just get randomly-colored goo.

Why do you even need goo to make a fluffy tail, or a tattered cloak? The Magician's Cloak is made purely out of slime and goo, guys. Is this how all fabrics in Sornieth are made? OUT OF GOO?

They could fix this SLIGHTLY by making the bears brewable, since their price will plummet anyway, but if even the new chest familiars can't be brewed... For an event we've been voting on for quite some time nothing seems balanced here.

nothing has changed really except lower encounter rates and lower drop rates - the chests are still full of junk and the majority is still not having fun

I've been looking for another reddish dragon since Emissary stands out like a sore thumb on my lair,and this set for once doesn't block more than it should; except maybe the staves being held by the tails - Skydancer Females have very human-like hands,why can't they hold them like a walking cane? D:

I actually miss last year's way of things. Sure you got 90% crap, but at least you got chests. I haven't gotten 1 yet.

Well, Wildclaws have hands, but they don't hold the staves either. I can understand why for the females, since there's no space for it, but the males just look stupid.

i'm just going to sell the chests then someone else can get the bears
