Fourth was a filler so hard they could've replaced all the veteran characters and made it a new IP and it'd have been more sucessful. More Scrat also can only go wrong,after they tried to give him a story arc in the third movie he's more pointless than Diego.

(the grandma with the sea pet and the villain's death in the fourth were unusually hardcore,though)

This was a short that was played just before The Peanuts Movie. Given that there's a giant meteor headed to the planet I want to think that this could very well spell the end of the franchise or at least a radical change in how it'll move forward from here.

Also this is Blue Sky's guaranteed money maker (like Shrek was for Dreamworks, or Despicable Me/Minions to Illumination). Chances are if they weren't making this kind of surefire money with Ice Age, projects like The Peanuts Movie might not have gotten off the ground or be as creative and wonderful as it was.

I'm not sure about this but...Collision Course sounds a little too weird.

Yet people complain about it...Seriously.

But on guaranteed money maker, was the fourth movie even that sucessful? It disappeared as soon as it released as far as I know,zero hype,zero consequence.

I love the first one, but the rest were just unappealing. I didn't like how they took out the humans after the first movie and made the sequels more kid friendly. The only thing I liked about the sequels was Ellie. The fifth looks no different.

We are actually in an ice age right now (it began about 2.6 million years ago). Hence Greenland and the polar caps.

i hate to burst your bubble, but buck made a really short cameo in the 4th movie iirc. he might just be reduced to cameos
