In honor of the one-year anniversary of these elements (as well as the upcoming Star Wars movie this Friday), I figure I might as well ask if you guys like the Light and/or Dark elements. Which one is your favorite (Please note this is similar to an earlier topic where it was just the original.) I LOVE THEM BOTH!!!

I like Light more than Dark in every way but that's dosnt stop both Spotlight and Blackout being a permanent part of my top 5.

Definitely Dark but I think this Element has yet to show its true potential...

Over all, I suppose Dark is superior. Spotlight, however, is the best of the bunch. Unique powers, fun to play, and really a good looking toy.

I prefer Dark when comparing any pair of them. However I do not like the Trap Masters on either side much, and love all 4 others.

Dark. Nightfall, Blackout and Knight Mare are among some of the best looking figures of the entire series and easily some of my favourite Skylanders. Pardon the pun, but Light doesn't even hold a candle to the Dark element.

They've been using the old backgrounds instead of the updated ones for a while. Kinda ironic Dark52 got that right before them.

Yep... You'd think they would have updated those backgrounds after a year since the reveal of the new Elements but nope.

I am definitely a fan of Light; however, Nightfall is still superior over Astroblast (yuk), and will most likely hold a spot in my top 10 soon.

light and dark are nice. knightmare is one of my all times favorites, spotlight and blackout are nice as well. astroblast is slowly growing on me but nightshade is just ugh... i cant bring myself to buy her. not my cup of tea. forgot knightlight, hes ok, dont love or hate him.

I didn't get Spotlight or Blackout (I only stick to gimmicks each year)

Knight Light beats Knight Mare for me
Nightfall beats Astroblast for me

So 50/50 so far

They're both my favorite of the ten, but Light has a slight edge. Just everything about the sort of "holiness" of it. Dark is nice though, and Tae Kwon Crow is my favorite villain so...

Happy birthday to the coolest elements in the series, now who wants to co-op with nothing but the 6 characters, Sun Runner, Sea Shadow and the only traps you can use are the L&D traps.

Knight light is the reason why I love light element, he is my favourite Skylander. If this element hadn't been created, probably would have never seen the light of day. So I'm veeeeeery glad it did.

On the other hand, I see a lot of potential in these two elements. Is a nice chance to introduce new designs into the game which draw inspiration from the classic "Heaven-Hell" culture or even to make playable characters which are apparently bad but have good values (nightfall for instance).

When Superchargers was announced the skylanders which I was more curious about, where the ones from these elements.

I have recently made a small comparisons between the prices of the light/dark expansion packs (whic are still very expensive, especially in Europe), and it seems light is more expensive in all the webs I have checked thus far. Not a great different, but noticeable.

I'm still of the opinion the elements should have been called "Sun" and "Moon" to avoid confusion with Dark Skylanders that are not of the Dark element. Poor planning, especially since they have had Dark Starters for three games now.

I love both Light and Dark evenly but each for very different reasons.

It's tough to say, really. Out of the Trap Masters, for me personally, trumps , but as for the SuperChargers, is completely outmatched by . Doom Raider-wise, and are on equal ground, as are and (neither of which I currently own, unfortunately). And finally, of my favourite normal Villains, I prefer Hawkmongous (Tae Kwon Crow) over Blaster-Tron, but I like Sun Runner more than Sea Shadow when it comes to Vehicles. So I guess it's an even split between both elements for me.

Blackout is amazing, but Spotlight is one of the worst Skylanders I've ever played.

I kind of find Blackout a Dark combination of Whirlwind and Blades. And sure, Spotlight is pretty much Flashwing but, her attacks are INSANELY fun to use! I like to set of defenses with her halos :3

Blackout is cool nonetheless, and one of my top Dark Skylanders but, I find him hard to use and his playstyle just isn't my thing... Plus, I like light based stuff more than dark stuff. That's why I don't own many Undead Skylanders. That's just me though :3

I think that, in design (since I never played as any Light or Dark Skylander), both elements are equal. Both have their good looking Skylanders (Spotlight, Astroblast (in game only), Blackout, Nightfall) and the not SO good looking ones, but still good (Knight Light, Knight Mare). The villains have the same rules, as the vehicles. I also like to take the Trap Team's Light and Dark themed chapters into consideration (Midnight Museum and Sunscraper Spire).

I'll go with Light.

As my avatar implies, I prefer Dark. I like all of them (with Knight Mare as my all-time favorite of the entire franchise), including the vehicle. As for Light, Spotlight is okay, not too fond of the rest.

In my opinion, Both elements are great but I think I enjoy Light more due to the fact I enjoy all the cool powers they have and all the effects they can have like on Astroblast, The lens effect is really cool. Also, Knight Light's secondary attack was very cool. It looked like a pool of rainbows!
