I did my finals last week.

Lol mine's in January. Around a week after we get back from Winter break. 100% great time to make the finals because students won't totally forget everything over the break.

What are finals? A simple test that asks about 1 question from each chapter? Sure. Even those are pretty rare. Man High School is so easy in comparison to elementary and middle school. (no this post is not sarcasm at all)

dude middle school and elementary school were slight work

elementary school teaches all of the fundamentals (so they're easy) and then in middle school they expand on them a bit and review them
so its like you're learning the same crap for 4 years

but then you take a class in high school that's throwing new crud at you every week while also balancing the other classes that are doing the stuff that the first class is doing AND having to deal with extracurriculars and sports (if you do those) while also managing everything that you do outside of school

how can you even say that high school is easier...

already went through this a year ago. the anxiety was terrible.

but then i ended up getting 82.75%, which was higher than what i expected.

I'd argue it was all just the progression of the same thing but slightly more advanced, to where something that seemed impossible to you when you were in elementary is now easy in middle school, and so forth.

When I was in school people seemed to always say "yeah it's easy now but once you get to middle/high school it's no joke" but then when you got there it was just reviewing what you did before and then slowly working your way to more advanced things. Yes, including high school. With the exception of algebra/geometry (which I always had issue with even when first started in middle school) high school would've been an absolute breeze if I didn't have anxiety making me miss around 1-2 days a week on average.

It honestly makes me terrified for when I go to college since I feel like high school hasn't done much to prepare me for it. Unlike public school before it I expect a real spike in difficulty and work load for college. And as much as people tell me college is great and I myself really want to go, constantly seeing people complain about it often for several different reasons makes me nervous about it.

I guess I can only speak for the more advanced classes since that's what I've been taking but imo (if you take AP/IB classes that aren't jokes) high school might be harder than some classes in college because I'm pretty sure in most colleges a person doesn't have to go to all of their classes every day of the week.. so you actually get a bit of downtime in college. (I haven't been to college though so I can't speak from experience it's just how it sounds to me)

I'm in High School. We get less to do, and more class time to do it in.

Well good for you, but when you're in honors classes and follow a set curriculum where you have to have certain objectives done for that day, and if they aren't done in the allotted time we're give, you become behind on the curriculum. Normal classes are a piece of cake, because teachers can do whatever the hell they want with their curriculum, but with AP and IB, everything has to be done on a set schedule, which results in the dreaded HOMEWORK.

Ha my final assignments were all months ago, I'm currently on summer vacation sitting on my ass.

Also I go to art school so I don't even have exams. Instead I had to spend 6+ hours folding tiny meticulous paper models and got blisters from how much I was using my craft knife. ;_;

Mine are surprisingly easy...

In Scotland, just took pseudo-finals called prelims in my high school which simulate our actual final exams in May next year, and the results are slowly trickling in for me. So far 2 A- grades, a C+ and a D-. I got 78% in Drama and 73% percent in Computing Science whilst I got 55% in Chemistry and just recently got 44% in French. 50/50 so far, but I'm hoping for good results in my Physics and Mathematics course since I will most likely need them for later in my life so I will probably take their Higher-level courses.
