It's currently 5AM and my grandparents have had their car stolen with the thief/thieves finding the keys by searching the house. I'm so ****ing pissed off right now. They'll have to change all their locks, get a new car be on high alert for who knows how long. That's probably just the tip of the iceberg. It's incredible they weren't harmed since my grandma was awake and in a separate part of the house at the time.

Not sure why I needed to make a topic out of it. I just wanted to vent.

I'm still a little shaken from when our house was broken into, two years ago, but that situation is a lot worse. It sucks how suddenly you need to change your security, especially at this time of year where you spend a lot on gifts, and how you find out so suddenly. I hope you get something sorted in the next day or two.

Sorry to hear that. I hope they didn't take anything of importance to you. We were called straight after my granddad called the police, we're only about 3 or so kilometers away from them.

I'm glad to head that they're unharmed. I hope they catch whoever did this, they don't deserve to be walking the streets.

Thanks. There was some pretty valuable stuff in our living room, but luckily, they only got the TV before one of our neighbours noticed and called the police. Do you know if anything was stolen from your grandparents, besides the keys and car?

That sucks, were the thieves ever found? It's extremely angering to hear when someone gets away with it.

Seems like the only thing he stole was the keys, car and my granddad's wallet that was in the car. The credit cards have been cancelled I also found out that the car was going to be handed down to me soon.

Oh well, at least no one was hurt.

Is there a way to locate the car or is it an older model with no way to track it?
Or rather, do you guys remember the license plate? Or is it likely the thieves will remove it (though wouldn't the lack of a plate be an indicator that the car may be stolen?)?

Sorry to hear that this has happened but at least nobody was physically harmed.

If I remember correctly, it's a 2001 model. So I think tracking it is out of the option.

I remember the license plate, but I doubt I or anyone else will see it. Apparently car theft is very high in my state (Western Australia) and almost all cars stolen are found a few days later either being used in other crimes or burnt out on the side of a road when the fuel runs out.

That's okay, nothing much could be done about it.

My grandma does have depression, so this has really shaken her and this has seemed to make her condition significantly worse. I just hope this asshole is found and charged.
