Final? This gives me the feeling that whatever DLC characters we hear from this will be the last we'll ever get for the game. I get that it doesn't exclude Smash news in general Directs but I think we're going to be winding down from here.

Remember when they first announced Mewtwo, then a few announcements later, they did the official trailer? I think that will apply here as well. Also, I think AUS get the announcement, 8-9am on the Wednesday, can anyone back me up so I don't miss out again?

Even then though, the winners might not be the highest voters. I look around and most people I find, don't realize that. Although, some of the most voted characters are ones I don't want in the game... better yet I find them not needed. *sigh* even if I said who though, I'll get hated regardless...

Its not the final ANNOUNCEMENT, its the final stream Direct that's focused solely on Smash. They could reveal other DLC in other directs, which is what I think is most likely to happen.

I agree, man. First time I got Smash 4 and the first thing I see is a human character, having only played Fox-only on Final Destination for years in Melee, I was so dissapointed. I couldn't Doowop an Skippity Uppity Airslap into a Wavedash Schlongdump Sparklenut because these humans character have horrible attack sets. You can't even Spitshine a ledge canceled Dongknob after a twirlywhirly dibbitybobbidyboo 2: Electric Boogaloo because it looks horrible on human characters. Fricking inexcusable. I really hope the whole roster is non human by the next game; that way, the series can see its full potential.

In all seriousness, I think Inklings would be a really fun an interesting addition to Smash. Splatoon was a pretty awesome game, and definitely needs some rep outside of its own game. Almost every other Nintendo franchise has some popularity boosting crossover in another game, why can't Splatoon's be in Smash?

And as much as I love using sword wielders in Smash, it's just getting kind of old. We have Link, Toon Link, Marth, Ike, Roy, Robin, Lucina, Shulk, Meta Knight, and Cloud. Even with as large a roster as Smash has, that's a LOT of sword wielders.

What I really want to see in smash, are NO MORE SWORDS!, more... cartoon/animal like characters, and less... humans.

I don't really have a problem with Inklings getting in Smash, I just don't want them to be part of SSB4's DLC. Would be better to save them for SSB5, in my opinion.

Honestly, I'd buy Pichu in an instant. As long as they do to Pichu what they did to Roy, and kinda made him not a clone. I loved playing as Pichu in Melee, and I'd love to kick ass with him in Smash 4.

True. I like the idea of humans but the swords thing is getting old. If they did something like Black Mage from Final Fantasy, that would be a cool way to separate itself from the sword fighters

Tbh I'm not that hyped for the broadcast. I haven't bought any of the DLC, barely play Smash now, spend my money on other stuff (shhh ), and if anything, the DLC announced won't be what I'm looking forward to.
