So disney junior has this new show called "the lion guard"

simba's son is the leader now

he wants his friends (honey badger, stork, cheetah, hippo) to join

THEN SIMBA ****ING SAYS "THEY CAN'T BE IN, THEY'RE NOT LIONS"

LIKE WTF

the "guard" is meant to protect the whole pridelands

(ya know, hippos kill more than lions, and honey badgers are savage af)

so yeah

i know this is a kid's show but wtf disney

Disney seems to be making new shows which tie in with old movies.
They really didn't need to touch the Lion King. The three movies they already had were completely fine on their own.

This. The Lion Guard to me practically de-bunks LK 2. Even though I dislike LK 2, I don't think we needed another fanfiction to replace it.

Also it is called the Lion Guard for a reason, not Africa's guard or as Sess put it best the Prideland Guard.

Between this and that old Timon and Pumba show, I honestly just want to see Disney do a Lion King show that's aimed for the whole family and not just kids. I mean The Lion King has more of an audience than just kids.

They made ****ty sequels for a lot of them, though.

And of course they're gonna go with The Lion King when doing these sort of things, it's the third highest-grossing animated film of all time after all.
