SkylandersGame just released the first few episodes on a new mini series called Under the Hood with Flynn talking about the Vehicles.

Well, another miniseries (read: narrated game footage) for me to skip.

At first I thought we would actually see what's under the hood of Star Strike, Enigma etc... One can only dream.

These are so cute! I ADORE the animation. it's so fluent and bouncey. It fits Skylanders very well.

For some reason, i feel that vehicles are underused if you just play land sections and skip Sky and Sea.

Most people here are just like "UUGGGGHHH ANOTHER MINISERIES ABOUT FRICKIN' CARS" and are ignoring that these are actually somewhat entertaining and have some effort put into them.

It has Flynn on it,he negates any effort.

Well, it's funny overall, but I prefer the Short Cuts at the time of Swap Force. But this is a thing.

Short Cuts were MUCH better, as they actually involved the Skylanders, but I am okay with this.

They probably will, to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised if the show is basically those but longer. But, you know, with a little more action and fighting bad guys in it...

It would be good if it works like that. Maybe people forget that humor is something they should give more attention.

Story-wise you are right.
But then you have to consider they are required to simply play the game, a big part of the extra activities (whether we are talking about racing, Elemental Challenges or Quests) revolves around them and that the Expansion Packs are again about them.

Oh yes, they also make up half of this year's toy line.

The more they try to make us understand how cool and awesome these vehicles are the more forced it feels and might end up being annoying rather than enjoyable.

No doubt about effort but... How about doing that with the Skylanders, instead?
I'd really love to know more about Nightfall or Smash Hit, for example (the fact they actually talk when accepting Buzz's Quests is simply awesome).

Vehicles are unique, well designed and everything but they cannot replace actual characters.

Yeah, I'll admit, maybe if Flynn or Buzz were interviewing the Skylanders, both new and reposed, that'd be somewhat better... Hopefully we'll get something like that for the next game.

EDIT: I just remembered that TV show, so it could also be possible they want to save the characters personalities for that... Unlikely, I know.

i was hoping when i saw it would be the old skylanders boomcast with coinoptv and zach gordon returning...

Nothing major, but I like the idea they are trying to mimic these car shows on TV...in the end it's a marketing piece, but I smiled at least. HEY- they did a Holiday video. All is right with the world.
