I got Superchargers last night, the portal owners pack. This Thursday, I'll be going out to buy two figures, but that brings me at a bit of a dilemma. Should I get a supercharged combo, or a Sky and Sea vehicle so I can open everything? I would rather the supercharged combo, which would probably be Splat and Splatter Splasher, or the Gill Grunt pack.
So are the Sea and Sky areas that big of a deal? Should I just get a vehicle each and get these zones out of the way, or should I just unlock the one zone, and get the character I want?

If I had to choose between the two different combo packs, I'd definitely choose the Gill Grunt pack. Because it contains the Sea Trophy with the Golden Queen's face on it. Not only the Sea Trophy can unlock the rest of the Sea Racing tracks, but can also capture Sea-racing Villains, such as the Golden Queen, Mesmeralda, Captain Frightbeard, and Spellslamzer. Or if you decide to not to do the Racing part of the game and choose the Story Mode, Splat and Splatter Splasher is acceptable.

^Yeah, if I got a combo pack, it would most definitely be Gill Grunt. Gill Grunt is one of my favorite, most played as characters anyway, and I think Astro Blast is the dumbest, most ugly figure in the entire series. Even if I do buy almost every figure, he's the one I'm going to leave out.

I've not really seen what the BIG DEAL is with being SuperCharged. I guess the announcement and animation is cool, but outset of that, it feels like a zero sum advantage. In fact, short of handling, most of the other vehicle stats feels meh.

So what you're saying i, if Splat is my favorite Supercharger, and Splatter Splasher is not my favorite Sea vehicle, I don't necessarily need to get it? I'd be just as well with Splat and Sea Shadow? |

Supercharging is just a damage bonus and a new set of mods. Even if you don't have a Giant or Elite along with some traps, it'll only be useful in Nightmare mode.

I got an air and a sea vehicle but not the matching characters as I didn't really see much of an advantage. I just wanted to unlock content and it probaby was not really worth it on hindsight as it didn't really bring a whole lot. I'd recommend sea over air for the extras. I'll probably end up getting whatever Stealth Elf, Nightfall and Splat drives just to unlock their challenges, but even those challenges are probably not worth bothering buying extra vehicles figures for.

You know what you should get? Nightfall. She comes out on the 5th of December at Gamestop and Sea Shadow shouldn't be a problem to find. I wouldn't recommend putting Sky over Sea, as I feel like Sea's far more fun and enjoyable. Splatter Splasher doesn't seem like that great of a vehicle and Splat... I like her, but I'm not sure if I like her more than Nightfall (I don't have Splat yet so I can't speak for her).

I love Splat since I've for so long wanted a Skylander who was offensively girly. lol. Is it too much to ask for something pink and flamboyant? xD Although from the small clip I saw, Splat's gameplay looked kind of standard, and I haven't seen any gameplay from Nightfall. What's she like? |

Splat's primary attack is pretty standard but she has some unique abilities like drawing little (or huge) goats that charge into enemies and leave behind exploding paint trails (which also slows enemies with her soul gem). I haven't seen much of nightfall but I saw she had some melee attacks with her hooks and is able to extend her hair to whip enemies and rain dark energy or something.

There's some Nightfall gameplay floating around from those who have the wrong chip versions on youtube. Her attacks are kinda weird looking, but really spammable, and she's built around juggling enemies in the air. Seems like either path is fun for her.

Just like Bifrost said, she's very manipulative. Her attacks aren't the strongest but she's more about distracting enemies and making them unable to hurt you. She's a special kind of character and you have to get used to her, but I really like her playstyle.

Correct. It Getting the pair is great for a slight bonus that aids in Nightmare, but when it comes down to it pick what you like and don't worry about the supercharging feature. |

Okay, seems I will have a touch more money than I expected, so I'll be able to afford three. That means one Sea, one Sky, and one Supercharger. Maybe Jet Stream and Sea Shadow? Now really considering Nightfall over Splat though...
@SprocketRocket Sorry dude, I read what you said but I don't always respond to everyone, if the thing said is very small or whatnot. @ Bifrost and Deja Vu so... Nightfall is like a less overpowered Windup? I love Windup, but I can never play as him for too long because he just makes the game far too easy, with that focus on juggling. If Nightfall is like a balanced Windup, I can see myself really enjoying her. I personally enjoy quirky, unique, hard to use characters (even if they're weak) over powerful characters. When playing Trap Team, I was actually shocked people hated Head Rush and adored Knight Mare. So yeah, I rather original over powerful. @TakeYourLemons Yeah, as just said, I think I'll not get the Splatter Splasher, and just grab that Sea Shadow, arguably the one of the best looking figures in Superchargers. You make a point, I'll just get what I think looks best. |

I don't really know since I haven't played as her and there are no videos with full upgrades that I found. :I Wish there was someone experimenting already how attacking midair enemies changes anything in SC but people stopped at the initial upgrades or a single hook path one.

Sea Shadow obliterates in the boss competition for the sea battles (if you get the sea pack with Gill Grunt). Utility wise it's the best sea vehicle imo. And who WON'T be getting Nightfall?

Nightfall does look pretty incredible, and I am just speaking about appearance since I haven't seen her gameplay, but she's easily one of the coolest looking characters in the whole series. I'm really stuck here deciding between Splat and Nightfall. I agree, Nightfall looks cooler, but it's just I've been asking for a pretty pink character for so long. xD |

Okay, well I probably won't be getting Nightfall, as someone said she comes out on the fifth, and the sale that's going to help me out won't be going on by that point, unfortunately. So assuming I don't get Splat, or I get two Superchargers, who would anyone recommend?
I prefer fun over power. A lot of people told me I scored when buying Nightmare, and that she's one of the single best characters in the series, but she's just too standard, and her gameplay doesn't separate too well from other sword users. So with that in mind, I don't care if the character is great for Nightmare mode or not, I don't care how much damage they deal. I just want someone interesting, original, and fun. Any recommendations? Edit: Actually, I should say what types I like the most. I go for what I call... alternative defense? For example, some of my favorites are Ghost Roaster, Hex, and Enigma, all of which I use as defense characters, even though they don't have shields. I always keep Hex's bone wall up, while using her skulls for a shield more than for ranged attacks. With Ghost Roaster and Enigma, I almost always keep them in their ectoplasm/ghost modes. I find even if people say these characters are weak, that I can easily crush Nightmare mode when playing this way. |

I would easily recommend Smash Hit and Stormblade, they are both amazing though they are offensive characters.
But considering your kind of gameplay you might like Fiesta. He isn't very strong on his own but his minions, the Amigos, are very powerful and can do all the job for him while he hides in the ground or runs around firing notes that aims at enemies.

I may be off-topic here, but I really need help knowing a much effective way to finish the Earth Elemental Zone under 60 seconds. I've been trying to get all 12 boulders through the suction tubes under 60 seconds, but it's way harder all the other Elemental Zones put together, including the Air and Undead ones. Is there anybody whose done that and recorded on video?

Okay, so I went shopping and got my stuff. I planned on getting Fiesta or Splat, with Sea Shadow and Buzz Wing. Well, the sale had ended, and Buzz Wing isn't out yet... lol. So I couldn't even afford the two vehicles and one character, but fortunately, the Gill Grunt pack was on sale for $15, so I got that and the Jet Stream. Now I'm hoping this makes the game enjoyable for me. Also, Gill Grunt seems pretty ***ing good in his revamp form. I don't have the Stealth Elf revamp, being I own the digital game, so I was worried these revamps would be poor rehashes of the originals, but Gill Grunt, other than his exact same things he says, seems to be a great new character.
