Bad genetics?

That looks to be the result of poor genetics. If the flesh were simply white and nothing else, the diagnosis would simply be that it had not properly ripened. Its DAP (days after pollination) count could've been irresponsibly over-counted. However, the unusual concentration of seeds at the center and lack of them in the white flesh (not to mention its mature size) almost immediately puts the blame on bad assigned developmental properties. If the flesh tasted okay, then it may have just lacked lycopene which is a common red pigment secreted by other vegetation such as tomato plants.
