i never really understood this 'hate it because it's popular' thing. but eh, i respect your opinion. this game isn't for everybody. i love it because for once you can play through the entire game without killing anybody. and i love how aware the game is with resets and saves and ****.

edit: also the characters and music are amazing

I hope to play it soon and I look forward to it. I imagine I'll really like it.

Call of Duty.

i've never played call of duty so i don't have an opinion of it. not going to lie, i've never played a first person shooter, simply because i'm not interested in them. xD

actually, i can't really judge undertale because i've never played it, but i've seen some of it. to me it just looks like some earthbound copy, no offense :/ and the fact that it's everywhere and on tumblr makes it seems it's the new fnaf.

but, if other people like it and enjoy it, then that's alright, i just don't see the appeal in it.

Undertale is a game were the best experience is to go in blind. Watching lets plays of it online or something isn't a good idea since it's not the best experience. It's a game where your choices matter, and the game knows about anything you do, even resets and saving and stuff. I unfortunately got spoiled with a lot of stuff which includes the final boss before I could play it, so I didn't go in blind, and I still find it amazing despite that.

Also the genocide route really expands on the game and gives it this dark and edgy side and truly makes you feel like ****. And the creepy thing is, the genocide route literally behaves like your typical RPG: continuously killing monsters to get to a higher LV.

And as always, the tumblr side of the fandom is already horrible, so I don't recommend letting the tumblr side of the fandom taint the game. :\

also if you explore all the routes, it takes more than 6 hours. most people do more than one playthrough.

i played a little bit and it definitely seems like it was heavily influenced by earthbound
apparently the creator loves earthbound too so eh

I don't know what world you're living in, but a $15 dollar game with a base story of 5 hours with multiple paths and great music that is also pretty critically acclaimed sounds great to me.

On Steam it's $10, and $17 to buy the game and soundtrack bundle. tbh I think it's a really good deal. I bought the bundle.

don't know how long it will be lasting. it was already worth it at 15$, get it while it lasts.

I've seen waaay too many people criticize like the game should cater to their own stadards for a game. "The gameplay sucks and I skip through the story" is one that makes the salt levels rise quite a lot. I don't like shooters,but hell yeah if I won't whine that I'm using a gun if I'm given one to play for other reasons. Undertale is primarily story and meta jokes, secondary art, tertiary watered down Touhou(which I've seen some people say helped them like bullet hells because it's in a teeny tiny scale and easy to get used to).

And I second Dark_Cynder.DO NOT LOOK IT UP,BUY IT. I had my reasons to do otherwise,but god damn do I wish I could've bought it as soon as I heard about it. Some spoilers are best experienced,for sure. Not going into details for obvious reasons but you WILL be spoiled about Sans' role and the true final boss if you do it, because the fandom hates a proper tag or nonindicative title.


Buuut I'll spoil one for S&N's own sake since Sleepy decided to ruin that. The freaky picture in the PSA? Not the only final boss. There's more than one ending, and though they're from the majority of them, the bad and good ones have new opponents.

(but seriously overrated is unfortunately something you can apply to this. The game might ruin you if you really like the characters,or you'll just find it annoying or passable if you can't get attached. Telling people OMG GOTY is not helping anyone's expectations,though it definately deserves a high score for being a two-man team of Temmie Chang and Toby Fox for the majority of the development.)

Well,in my opinion it's objectively better than FNAF for having a non-hard mode(yet) replay value, being longer without too much padding, and not being so hopelessly depressing. But to each their own,I guess,especially that last one.

Gotta agree with this notion, maybe remove half the arrows. Skylanders COULD be better because it has described characters that could be explored to nigh perfection,but they don't because yearly development time and fear of taking risks.
