Makes no sense to charge X amount more for the same quantity of soda.

Isn’t the free refill offer only for one cup? For example, if one buys a cup of coffee and with that order the free refill is offered as well then you’ll be paying for the coffee and get only to have one free refill. Of course the situation if different when there is a rule of unlimited free refills but that is just bad business. The only challenge it that refill policy that it requires sharp attention sales personnel to do the job.

I might give you more opinions... for a small fee of course.

At least at McDonalds. I have not been to other places recently so... But one thin I can say is that not all McDonalds give unlimited refills.

Other register girl: How much is a large free water?

Manager: 50 cents

Me: 50 cents?!

Manager: Otherwise what's the point of selling bottled water?

Me: There IS no point in selling bottled water!

It seriously gets to the point where we do things only because people actually pay for this ****.

Most places here don't have free refills I think. Or at least the machine is behind the counter.

I thought New York outlawed those or something.

Outlawed free refills? Nah some places have the soda machines out for your own use.

EDIT: Or if you mean machines behind the counter, many places still have that. Didn't hear anything about being outlawed.

Sounds like refilling boobs to me. I never knew a cow was involved, though.

Well I know they outlawed certain sizes, I just didn't know about free refills.

Good ****ing point.

That.

I mean, I guess if you want to drink more at once you'd get the big one... no?

And I do recall some places only allow a refill once, So I guess that's a legit reason.

Although I'm still not paying 4 more bucks just for that stupidity. I'd rather buy more food instead.

What in the literal Heck?! It's 50 cents to up-size here... I knew McDonalds of America was bad (Read: So horrible that we get branded guilty by association), but...

I'm not in America but it isn't 4 bucks to be exact, that was just an example. All I know is that the difference beetween the prices of the cups is quite high here (perhaps 4 bucks if you go from small to XL, I dunno), but rest assured it's more than 50 cents.
