Interesting theory.
But it has flaws, and it's not true.
I think.

Didn't MatPat have a GameTheory video just like this? Did you just use his idea?..

Common misconception. The girl in Donkey Kong isn't Peach, it's Pauline. The same girl appears in the Mario vs DK mini Mario games.

Overall writing isn't great. A lot of "this happened then that happened then this happened".

Unrelated note: Really want Pauline to someday appear in a MarioKart game.

Her original name in Donkey Kong was "Lady", a girlfriend of "Jumpman" (Mario) who wasn't royalty, she never was Peach. She actually use to be blonde, but later came back with brown hair in a remake of DK for the GBA. Peach was introduced in the original Super Mario Bros as "Princess Toadstool."

But she's not a toadstool :/


Her full name is "Princess Peach Toadstool". Guessing it has to do with being head of the Mushroom Kingdom and having people named Toad that look like they have mushroom hats.
