Well it actually depends what you want to do in life. If what you want to do doesn't involve a really good grade or not even schooling, is there really a point in stressing yourself over something that's not even needed? Forcing kids to be really smart is something I'm not really fond off ether. I chose Chemistry even though I'm going to do animation, and as you can see they aren't even related. I chose it because it made me seem smart, and I regret it. Year 12 would have been less stressful without it. It annoys me how the teachers at my school were always like 'What? You're choosing to get a full time job over going to university???!!' when a year 12 tells them what they want to do after school. It's like, it's their choice. If that's what they want to do then leave them be.

Although, if you haven't decided on what you wanted to be yet, then staying in school and passing all subjects is important, since they'res a good chance that what you finally decide on being will need further education after year 12.

2-You won't make your kid any happier with this. What do you want? Send your kid to a special place because they got in pure depression?

Honestly if you got a 13 on that test it sounds to me like not only did you not study, but you didn't really pay attention in class to begin with. Getting a score THAT low is the sign of someone who daydreamed or fell asleep in class (and take it from someone who fell asleep in math class, it happens).

If you're paying full attention in class and you still got that grade then yes you need to study big time. But otherwise fixing the issue could be as simple as paying attention and absorbing the information.

Also a ~97% isn't that hard if the test is like 10-20 questions.

That's kinda unfair of your mom. Just failing once doesn't mean you're gonna do horribly the rest of the year, you just gotta put more effort to it. And selling all those skylanders that you must treasure must be rather painful considering it was just once you messed up :/

Think about it from his mom's perspective. She probably sees darkSpyro and Skylanders as meaningless distractions. My mom didn't even let me have any video games at all, growing up. It's easy to see how some parents could be willing to take them away at the drop of a dime.

I can relate, actually. My parents hated it when I got B's.


He's probably one of those kids (like I was, and like many of you probably were) who brings home A's all the time, and so his parents get used to that, but when he gets to something that actually challenges him and he has to try harder, they suddenly believe something's wrong with him. It happens all too often.

I don't know what his parent are worried about, he'd only be in major trouble if he wanted to pursue maths at a University level.
