Dunno,with the sheer amount of tracks that are just an SSA/SG track with half the instruments removed in SF and now parts of SC, feels more like that between making a new song or remixing he just goes for what's easier. I know he does great tracks,but with just his name as composer it's hard to point fingers for unforgivable stuff like this.

Which is most likely due to time and/or budget constraints, as newkill said. Doesn't "feel more like" anything.
Actually, the main adventure may have the least amount of returning themes of all post-SSA games. The only ones that come to mind at the moment are the Gadfly Glades sea theme, the Stratosfear boss battle, the Monstrous Isles sea theme. I'm sure there's more, but it's a far cry from Swap Force, and likely on par with Giants and Trap Team (ie. remixes are limited to optional content for the most part).

"Unforgivable"? Really?
Also, Wikipedia lists Max Aruj, Steffen Thum and Thomas Farnon as additional composers. Would be nice to know who did what: the Brimstone and Boulders fight sounds decidedly unBalfish.

Everything about those elemental zones felt to me like they were last minute additions, to be honest. The music, the mechanics, the general sloppiness of it all (where's the restart button?). Try rushing through the Fire Zone w/ Hot Streak's secondary- sudden 180s, getting stuck in terrain, getting stuck in midair, being thrown off the track, none of which happens in the races.

Yup, and probably would've been worse if they thought that they should be required in some way. The fact that they aren't even balanced to the difficulty modes says all.
But still... What's the problem with using the regular Zone themes, instead of these dumbed down versions? Dark has the Undead track(and that one just has a bunch of random spooky notes which makes Mellohi from Minecraft sound lenghty), Life has parts of its regular one too, so what was the issue?

I quite like it when remixes do appear. Some of my favourite tracks from previous games getting remixed are sometimes just as good as brand new tracks.

So far (Im on chapter 15), its mostly new tracks, so all is good for those who are not a big fan of remixes.

Also The After Party,at least a preview since it's not coming out anytime soon~
(And by ruling out names, the preview is the prologue song, Rift into Overdrive)

I like how the title track (#1) is the prologue track in the game.
Whereas the title screen theme is called Rift into Overdrive later down the song order.

Do you think they switched the songs around late in production? A lot of people I've read prefer the prologue track than the actual title track.

Oh,you can see previews? I couldn't find any on the mobile version so I thought the preview one showed was the actual preview for the Rift into Overdrive track.

EDIT: I think Lorne ended up mixing two subgenres for The After Party,but I'm ok with that :U Not familiar with cultural songs,so I can and probably am horribly wrong.

It's coming out on the 20th. You can hear a preview of both in the amazon page.

That remix is the actual song though. The Adventure Mix is actually a vehicle gate track,can't remember which.

Hmm. I don't recognize some of these

I dont recognize: Waterdrop Way, The Last Resort, Fraser's Treehouse (Maybe that's from Gadfly Glades and that crazy girl is named Fraser), And Riftward Road

I'll try helping with that.


Waterdrop Way is Gadfly Glades' main theme.
The Last Resort is Monstrous Isles,specifically one of the later areas.
Fraser's Treehouse is The Academy plus a ton of instruments. That and Matt's etc etc might've been cut NPCs or something.
I'm not sure about Riftward Road but a friend told me it plays in The Darkness' cutscenes(not the final boss ones). Might be his real theme.

Don't know how. Ingrooves doesn't have a contact support for this kind of copyright.

EDIT -
INgrooves is now taking copyright of some of the music in levels, like Chompy Garden and SuperCharged with Love.

So far, my favorite soundtracks from SSC are the rock theme music performed during the battle against Brimstone & Boulders on Battlebrawl Island and "SuperCharged with Love" in both versions. I wonder if they could combined the fake and real versions together into a full song.

Finally hear the SuperChargers soundtrack and, Trap Team was better, but it thing is great.

There are expected good musics, like Rift Into Overdrive and The SuperChargers. There are some musics that are not that a big joy, but they are good too. Also, there are some surprises (the two versions of SuperCharged With Love are actually pretty good).

The Soundtrack was pretty good this time. Congrats, Lorne Balfe. You did a good job again.

I like it. There are hits and misses, like on all of the soundtracks...instead of SSA. Grand slam all around.
