I wholeheartedly agree with her.


These "names" popular among children of a certain demographic have no meaning or purpose whatsoever. They are simply feeble labels branded unto people far beyond their control, and there's no way they possess any cultural significance. Ms. Symoné is correct in her ideals, because giving these sorts of ghetto trash names to children is a direct affront in the ongoing war of the Cultural Marxists to erase all traces of Western Civilization. These names certainly can't reflect a heritage or history of a people.

Lead the crusade in the cleansing of the good American name from this garbage, Ms. Symoné!

You agree with her ideals? Uh, I'm pretty sure that she said she would discriminate against people with "ghetto" names. Firstly, let's remember that she's black, lesbian, and a women and laugh at this irony that she's ok with discriminating against certain people. Secondly, discriminating against someone because of their name is not ok. Let's remember that Raven isn't a name you see every day either.

I feel like there's something I'm missing but if we're talking about the discrimination of people with "ghetto" names or the idea that people with such names are bound to not be successful, let's not forget that one of the most successful athletes in the country today is named "LeBron".

I wouldn't judge the person for their name, and the name itself doesn't determine what the person can come to accomplish in the world. However, I may judge your parents for naming you such. Parents can be stupid and won't name a kid something for meaning or any reason other than deeming it sounding pretty. (Not always a bad thing)

My mom is a nurse and once worked in a hospital helping deliver babies. She told me stories of how a mom once tried to name her daughter "Asshole" (Pronounced Ashley) and another who wanted to name their kid "Syphilis" because she saw it in her chart and thought it sounded pretty.

The "ghetto" name movement started in the 1960s as a way of trying to bring traditional African culture back to African-Americans in the Civil Rights Movement. While some names are clearly made up, many do derive from indigenous words that actually mean things.

If I'm wrong, please correct me. I'm not 100% on any of this.
