Instead of being about sports that you don't have to participate in. Just imagine how helpful it could be to have a 35 minute workout every week day instead of never working out.

I'd probably be better at this then walking up 10 flights of stairs to get to the tennis court only to SUCK BADLY AND MISS THE GODDAMN BALL EVERY ****ING TIME

I've never liked PE. Dropped the subject as soon as it wasn't a requirement. I'm just not good at sport. Doesn't help that the whole team throws a fit every time I miss a ball, yet they only laugh if a popular student does the same thing. :\

Some schools have different variety of PE classes. My second high school had a Cardio class that was just about said cardio (treadmills, stationary bikes) and had no focus on any particular sport.
They try to often make it about a particular sport as to give variety and let students try new things. If they didn't do this, I wouldn't have found out that I'm relatively decent at badminton. |

I like how my high school made us play all of these different sports (including ****ing bowling), but they wouldn't let us play soccer. Only advanced PE students got to do that. Wtf is that.
My health and wellness class last year did a variety of things from indoor sports (we played indoor soccer **** you high school) to cardio workouts on treadmills and lifting and we even did yoga. |

The PE and Health classes at my school used to be separated, but now they've combined apparently and it's now 'PE and Health'. I'm not sure how that will go down. :\

This year, we're going to spend half the year working out instead of doing random sports so yay

My gym class this year has tests and quizzes, and you get graded with how well you do in gym.

I liked PE Mainly for the fact that I wasn't good, but I wasn't bad ether. I used it as a spare subject to just chill and talk to friends.

I just stood at the back with my friends and talked about stuff, when the PE teacher came over to moan at us, we'd just participate for about 5 minutes then slowly walk to the back again and start talking. I was never good at sports, when we were forced to play football, people moaned at me because I was bad, so I gave them something to moan about by scoring own goals
that was fun. I was quite good at running, cross country ect, I just can't be bothered. My PE teacher once told me "If your not good at PE, your gonna fail in life" - inspirational words right there. By the end of my time at school, in the last few months my and my friends would just sit on the chairs, go on our 3DS' and play mario kart 7, we purposely forgot our PE kits so we didn't have to change, sure we got detentions but we never showed up. Most of the PE teachers were just jerks so we didn't mind winding them up from time to time.

We rarely do any actual physical activity in my class.
We do our stretches, walk around a track.. then go inside and either play whatever activity they chose for us today, or sit around and talk/use phones. I feel bad though, it's only freshmen that play because they want to play a sport, but end up getting brutally destroyed by seniors, or seniors playing so that they can destroy the freshmen lol. I just sit around with my squad yo |

Probably PE for half a semester and Health for the other. My school did that for 10th and 11th grade. |

*Sees title*
Excuse me while I look back on all past PE experiences Ahahahahahaahaha Yeah. All we do in PE is just play meaningless sports, and I say meaningless because you don't have to participate. Unless you are a guy. Most of the of the *fine ladies* (as my gym teacher calls them) really do much, and still get an A+ grade. But I guess that isn't my point. Our schools don't put any emphasis WHATSOEVER, and my dad, who passes by the high school I am destinied to go to, everyday, sees PE class. And he's surprised that it is exercise. Most kids are standing around, and ~3 kids on each team are playing. Hilarious. Sorry for the long rant, guys. tl;dr School's PE is terrible. Terrible.

At my school, 2 out of 3(Estimate) PE classes are in the 'Fitness Center' where it is nothing but workout machines.

Well most schools have a weightlifting/sports training class which is just working out in the weight room aside from PE.
