I live in Quebec, so Nicolas is pronounced "Nee-coh-lah" which is why some people drop the S, even though litteraly no one has it without an s....
Back in elementary school I also had my fair share of "Nickolaz" yes with a z. Why the **** a z? Because there were two Russians hpwho spelt it Nicolaz. And a black guy called Nickolas. Thus the bastard child that is Nickolaz arose. seriously people my name isn't hard it's also SUPER common pls get it right sifneiskej /end rant

People mess up names a lot. Like I don't think mine's that hard, but people don't know whether it's ph at the end, or f. Or they spell it "Joeseph". But my last name (Blakemore) always gets messed up. I've gotten Blackmore, Blakémoré, blackmoore, and even blackstone. Like, it's the word blake, and the word more. They're second grade words.

But people spell it wrong all the time, and it's so annoying. It's like, it's four letters, is it that hard?
