Aside from the price im sold on this game!! Our family collects skylanders, the first DI game stuff(we may or maynot get 2 or 3 since i heard you cant use any of the old characters, playsets or disks in the games after them... Unless they fix this in 3 which would be nice since star wars is in this one.) and we have a tv plug n play tmnt game with figures for the portal. We dont collect amiibos for many reasons but the main one being the fact that we dont have a wii u. the only thing keeping me from adding this to the 100% yes list(our sons want this BAD) is the price.... But they said this starter pack and all the expansion packs and fun packs etc etc will be good for years to come with all the other expansions to be released in the future. So what if theyre not releasing like a second or third game theyre just going to keep adding expansions and character packs etc. That would be cool right? And worth the money?

Sat down abit ago to show the trailers etc to the husband and we agreed to get this series. Still unsure how to handle it with our kids though. Oldest just turned 5 and when this comes out the youngest will be 3... And we are already having issues keeping their skylanders and DI figures in one piece x.x we will have to super glue all the legos together to keep from losing them or breaking everything lol

You can use Disney Infinity characters from 1.0 in 2.0 and 3.0, but only in the Toy Box.

If anyone is interested Harley Quinn and the Joker are up for preorder now but they do come in November.

As i've said a few times already I'm not really all that interested in Lego's but I'll give this game a try.
However I'm curious 1 where is a site that should offer preorders WITH a few figure of your choice and 2 where is that blue ninja from Ninjago? I know nothing about Ninjago but my favorite color is blue so i want the blue ninja.

Will you even need to build it. I will likely just use the figures disc and portal without opening the lego.

So it looks like the vehicles and accessories will have 3 pre-set builds...kind of awesome actually.

You know, I think I DO want this game. However, saving up for it would be a challenge. I don't think I'll have time for that this fall, but next winter I could try buying it. I love the idea of how you can rebuild the LEGO models into different shapes and they would appear in-game. Love that TtL innovation. Also early in the trailer, I find it cute how Wyldstyle is moving in a slight LEGO Movie stop-motion fashion unlike the other two characters.

and now we know skylanders is in huge problems with their short games that people have finished in a week. i see the lego game will have no problem keeping their players enjoying and playing the game for the whole year without once get bored.

I like how Wyldstyle still moves like an actual LEGO minifigure while everyone else has full 3D movement.

I'm still absolutely intrigued as to how the game will "know" what version you've built. As to your main point, there will me no shortage of things to do in Dimensions it seems. It will be interesting to see what perks to replaying Sky 5 will be in the game.

Forgot to say this earlier, but I think LEGO Dimensions will beat DI 3.0 and SSC in the TtL competition this fall. I still want to get SSC, so this game will have to wait.

Gotta say, this series is crazy expensive, honestly quite disappointed. Oh well, hopefully there will be some good sales. Feel like TLC's being a bit greedy though, with a $99 starter pack, $15 single character packs, $25 level packs, and so on.

Oh please, here in Canada, it's going to be $110 for the starter pack, $18 for character packs, and $30 for level packs. I... don't know if I want this game anymore.

I'm not buying this due to the huge prices, but I will say that they are doing a wonderful job marketing these things.

Achievement list has been revealed....it seems to get all the achievements you will need to buy the level packs.... as the levels they've shown off in the trailers, seem to fit with the list, unlike skylanders/disney infinity they usually make everything in that sense attainable just with the starter pack alone, so pretty sad to see them go down this road..

Anyone else picking this up this weekend. I wasn't but after watching a lot of "Let's Play" vids. I changed my mind. Plus the interaction with the portal looks truly interesting.

I've said it before, but I really can't get interested in this due to the gigantic prices. I gave each Toys-to-Life game that came out this year a fair shot to woo me over, but I think I'll stick with Amiibo.

Ehhh this is no different than all the other T.T.L. franchises. Watch for sales get what you want first. No real pressure to get them all. I'm actually going for characters that have different abilities. Getting Benny, Jurassic World Set and Nya (mainly for mech. That should be a fairly well rounded team for a while. You can check the abilities of the characters before you buy from their website, which was a real nice touch. Here's the link.
