To be honest, I don't know who my main is. I play C. Falcon a lot because he's fun and disrespectful, but I wouldn't say I was the best with him.

He always catches me off guard with his Side Special, because he goes farther than the pellets >.<

And then when you accidentally SD because of it or they get a lucky shot over it they go crazy with taunts and then start dissing you in the name tags.

It's annoying because I really like Captain Falcon as a character in the F-Zero anime but the Smash fanbase just warps my perception on the character. Now I sometimes just think "white trash meathead jock" when I think of the character, because of the Smash players.

You also gotta love how almost every For Glory Fox player starts off spamming their blaster.

I once did a run of For Glory matches with Falco where I prioritised using my blaster a lot.

...It actually went really well, makes me wonder if the players were just that bad, or if I was using the character properly.

Reminder that the new update is out today. Turns out Pirate Ship is also back from Brawl, and we got more Mii costumes.

As far as character changes, only thing I have heard so far is that Rosalina had her Floaty Star Bit and Guardian Luma customs buffed (cooldown reduced on both moves - Guardian Luma is now a viable combo linker).

I hope they nerf Sheik just because I'm sick of seeing SSB4's "Melee Fox" as the highest tiered character in the game.

They didn't nerf Sheik if I'm not mistaken. It hasn't been documented yet anyway.

There have been an odd amount of changes to customs though this time.

I was never able to do it. Whenever I jabbed to grab, it finished the jab instead of grabbing.

Anyway, I noticed a new feature that nobody else seems to be mentioning.

When you go to upload your replays to YouTube, you are now given a "Create Highlight Reel" option. Basically the game automatically trims sections of the match out and keeps what it thinks are the good parts.

Most of it was long combos and KO's.

There were a few universal changes to the entire cast, so I will list those as they are important:

-Shield damage on tech get up attack decreased across the cast 10 → 8
-Shield stun mechanics altered: formula assumed: [(damage / 1.8)+3] over (damage/2.56) [?]
-Invincibility on back roll and air dodges reduced by 1 [?]

The first one isn't important and is self explanatory, but I will explain the differences on the other two:

-Shield stun is what happens to you when you are hit while shielding. It's basically a short window where your character can not do anything (not even drop their shield) while taking hits to their shield. The formula for this has been changed, and basically, now EVERY attack in the game deals noticeably more shield stun than before.

-Back Rolls and Air Dodges now have one frame less of invincibility across the board.

What this essentially means is that aggressive tactics are now more viable in the game than before. One of the things holding back aggressive tactics before was that opponents could react too quickly if they managed to shield, as the shield stun wasn't big enough.

So yeah this is pretty cool IMO.

This is what it previously looked like. The opponent was thrown slightly outward and above Luigi. Base 75 and growth at 30, making it send the opponent basically the same place every time.
Now the base has been lowered (30 from 75, about where Mario's down throw goes), and the growth increased (from 30 to 83, making it harder to combo at higher percents.)

Bought the Rathalo costume because it looked cool but Mii Swordmans have no approaches or kill moves. His Nair, Bair, and Dair are decent but gave some end lag. His neutral b moves are practically useless, chaikrai is good for combos, I love skyward slash as the height it reaches is amazing for such a short charge time, and Mario's cape is pretty nice to have. It also can't space for **** with it's small ass sword.
