How can do you use instant spitfire

it might not want to register instant characters if you have a portal plugged in . e.g. without a portal the game should ask on start up if you want to play instant or with a portal .

It works. Leave the portal idle and the option will appear after a while.

No idea. I just stared at the gamepad(it only shows up there) until "Use Instant Spitfire" appeared. Portal was plugged in but it's not required, the screen just needs to be given time until Instant Vehicle/Skylander options appear, when you can press 'A' on the WiiU.
