The worst part is staying a good ten feet away from Youtube,it loved to throw spoiler videos at me of TT and Swap Force. Flight Rising's gonna have to waste my hours here for a bit.

I just got back from my TRU... same thing a few others have said, no combo packs, and the employees were clueless about Wave 2...

So, a preview version of Battlecast is out, and here are some notes:

- The game is ridiculously unstable. It crashed multiple times just trying to scan Spitfire.
- Speaking of, the game actually gives you free Spitfire and Stealth Elf cards, accessed via a url on the official website.
- Every Skylander, or at least, all the ones in the game at this point, have 3 cards, one for the character itself, and two special ability cards.
- You can unlock ability cards without buying booster packs... but it requires scanning in the character cards at certain times. For example, I won't be able to get Stealth Elf's first ability card until next year.

I can see this going well later on, again, it's a preview version for a game that won't be released until next year, but right now I wouldn't say it's worth getting unless you really want to scan the Battlecast cards you got in some of the starter packs.

I also can install Battlecast on my several years old Android,so it's compatible with phones that can take Lost Islands and not much more.

You're not alone - eshop updates in 50 mins,sure, but my download speed is 10-15 Mbps. That's going to be AT LEAST those three and a half hours.

Also, I recommend not checking the recent Youtube videos. Managed to spoil a pretty important thing, but I will not spoil anything else.

Sure, might as well. As long as it isn't story related, I think we're good.

I recommend staying the HECK away from Youtube. The Related Videos system is dumb and randomly throws you Skylanders videos when you're watching something else entirely. If I really need to use it, I'm just stretching my Skype window over the entire thing.

Well,tracks from Racing shouldn't be too much of spoiler unless it ties into the console version(because Racing seems like a prequel?)

The levels I saw were a level in Pandergast's castle, Chompy Mountain, Mystic Mill, and Tropic Plunder.

Also, worth noting that Racing actually gives you free, but terrible, Land and Sea vehicles so you can at least play through the game.

Oh,so like the Guest Skylander system from previous 3DS games. Speaking of them,can you streetpass a vehicle?

I dunno. Watching a bit more, the game actually has a really large map to explore, and some levels are actually hidden behind elemental gates, which actually correspond to vehicles, not the actual Skylanders.

Well, Bifrost, considering the entire game is vehicle based, it kinda makes sense. Not the Chompy thing though.

Also, this confirms 4 different mod sets. I saw that the Barrel Blaster had the standard set, the Supercharged set, and then two unlockable sets.

EDIT: Word of advice: Do not play on higher difficulties if you do not have a sufficiently upgraded vehicle. It will go poorly.

I meant more in the 3DS version, but yeah, that probably goes for the console versions too.

Also, since Tropic Plunder is just a straight up regular track in the 3DS version, does that mean the sea trophy unlocks a different track in the 3DS version?

Man, the 3DS version works exactly like Sonic and Allstars Racing Transformed. Story mode wise, at least.

I wouldn't trust some of these statements from reviews. I remember the Sonic reviewer in IGN that has eternal hatred against any other playable characters in the series and will push the bias beyond limits to say they're not needed. It's better to go by the important points - framerate is good, no big glitches, story isn't half-baked,etc etc.
It'd wait for HDroom to be honest but the site hasn't been working for me for a few days already.

Getting Battlecast set up here. It's PT-BR for once,but I hope it allows me to change language because the dubbing is horrible.

You can do literally nothing but scan the cards.Kinda funny to scan them out of the computer screen and see them facing down instead of foward, but with the sheer amount of lag that you get(no crashes thankfully), it's not as impressive as the ad.
