I don't think this game is even coming out on the PS3.

Pretty sure it is - but they wanted to show off the kewl graphics so all the gameplay is on next-gen and 3DS(strangely not the New3DS).

I buy this game for PS3 even if I have a PS4, because of my best friend. She has only a PS3 and we want to play this game together online ... So I would like to see the PS3 graphics. :/

I remember some reviews in the past showing graphics comparison,but you'll have to wait for launch for those since there's an embargo until then.

im 99% sure you can still play together if one person is on the ps3 and the other ps4. its the same network, i know this is true for call of duty and other games, i just dont see superchargers breaking the sony mold.

Wii U graphics should look better than PS3 and XB360 though.

I think the Wii U graphics are slightly better than PS3 and XBOX 360's just like the Wii has slightly better graphics than PS2 and XBOX (not sure about the latter though).

All the three "old gen" consoles definitely have great graphics.
But again, graphics should not be that important.

they are pretty much the same, i have both consoles... if there is different its because of the games and how they are developed. but with that said i havent yet seen a game that have the graphics of the 'the last of us' on the wiiu.

To get a rough idea look at the graphics for PS3 look at the Wii U for now. It will be up to par in that area.

these are just a few games that looks fantastic on the ps3.. you dont have any wiiu games to compare with these yet.. maybe zelda u, but we will have to wait to see.

Hyrule Warriors(iirc), Bayonetta 2 and MK8. The WiiU's best is definately close to the PS3's, just a bit below and rarer.

ok i got experience in graphics differences between consoles. it comes down to multiple factors, the biggest of which is quality of graphics on the highest end console. this game will be no triple A blockbuster that demands unparalleled graphics like the call of duties and fallouts, also the fact of the "cartoony" nature of the game also means the graphics are not going to be mind blowing. this already lowers the bar graphic wise making the gap between the highest console and the lowest alot smaller. the 2nd biggest factor is the console its was mainly developed on. developing on a lower grade console then porting it up to the higher ones makes the graphics look similar between all versions of the game. but developing on a higher end one then porting down, that widens the graphics considerably.

good example of this are the COD games. Ghost was developed on xbox 360 and later, once ps4/xbone came out, was ported up to the next gens, the ps3/x360 versions had good graphics, but ps4/xbone had better but the improvement was all in the details. textures rendered at higher resolution at further distances and the draw distance was also increased. the average player noticed them but it was a "omg this is crazy batter" improvement.

on the flip side you got Advanced Warfare. this was developed on the xbone and ported down to ps3/x360. the difference in graphics was unbelievable. it honestly felt like i was playing a ps2 version of the game when i had to do some testing on them. it was just so bad. just watch this video and see what i mean

anyways, long story short, given the type of game superchargers is, i dont think there will be a huge graphic difference between ps3, x360, ps4, xbone and wii u.

I can say from experience, upgrading from PS3 to XBO was mind-boggling, even for a Skylanders game. I started to notice all of those rough edges that were not present on the new gen. It's much less mindblowing as the above depicts, but you can and will appreciate the difference.

I have a Wii U too and I don't think the graphics looks better as PS3 graphics... Swap Force PS3 looks in my opinion, better as Trap Team Wii U.
I'm still waiting for a PS3 gameplay video, a ps3/ps4 graphics comparison and a confirmation if PS3 and PS4 users can play online together ....

It looks only slightly blurrier and with simpler particles, definately not too big of a change.

Edit: Never mind xD PS3 graphics are more blurry and less details but it doesn't looks to bad compared to the PS4 version. I'm really surprised it looks so good for PS3. oO

But have you compared SF PS3 to SF Wii U? Because TT uses completely different graphics. Comparing TT between my 360 and Wii U, I actually think the 360 version of TT looks slightly clearer (but runs worse- might be because my 360 is so old). Between the consoles, SF definitely seems a bit clearer on my Wii U, however.

Sadly not, never saw a comparison between SF PS3/WiiU.

Some new informations regarding on the PS3 version? Is there a cross-online-play like in LBP3 between PS4 and 3? Has anyone the PS3 version and can tell how it looks on PS3? Same as SF or even a little bit better?
